Does anyone actually sell prints? I'm curious.
It's easy to just offer your artwork as a print but has anyone actually made any money by doing this?
If so, how reliable is dA's printing program?

I've sold five prints and two mugs to myself - guess that doesn't count...
dA isnt set up to be a shop for an artist. The real art sellers have their own site, or at least go threw a bigger selling site.
i made one sale.... to myself
I've actually sold more coffee mugs than I have poster prints. The quality of the stuff is top-notch, but the drawback is that you only get a percentage of the total of what you sell, and it's really not all that much. If you're looking to get a better paying rate, I'd suggest going to a site like redbubble.com or Zazzle.com. Not knocking Deviantart's printing thing, but I just haven't been that impressed with their prices.
So the royalties suck, eh? Hahahaa, guess that's to be expected. It's only profitable if you sell a lot. I guess it just sounds so easy. You just click a few buttons and dA takes care of the rest.
If you don't mind me asking, how much money have you made from selling prints?

So far, I've sold about $20 of stuff since I opened my prints account...7 years ago. >_>
Oh wow, hahahahahaha. 7 years. XD Well, I guess it's okay if you're not really looking to make a living.
Thanks for telling me this. I was really curious.

ah but does anyone actually BUY them, the question is
No idea. Having never bought or have someone buy anything I sell (nothing at all), i can't say anything.
Yeah, I don't think that's how dA makes it's money. Guess it's kind of useless then, if there's no one willing to buy. Oh well.
It's a big part of how they make money. If you could ask the more popular deviants, I'm sure they'd tell you they sell tens/day.
Necrophiliac prostitution is easier if you're looking for a day job.
I'll keep that in mind
No-body should look that happy when discussing necrophiliac prostitution. What is wrong with you?
It's always been a passion of mine. What can I say?
Okay, carry on.
I don't think this deviant quite understands what necrophiliac prostitution implies.
It's pretty simple. All you do is dig up corpses from the local graveyard and prostitute them to the highest bidder.
Enlightened? I sure hope so!

I understood the concept. The other person didn't. Hopefully they read your reply.
I see. Hard to keep track of you kids sometimes.

I'm pretty sure people do, not sure how much money or how reliable the service is.
Hmm. I guess if you have a nice enough piece of art, people will buy it
