"You know what'd be cool, give yourself 360 faith in humanity points, since it's new years. Then minus one point every time you hear of such fail-at-life behaviour/ plus one point at extraordinary win-at-life stories.
If you get to zero before 1st next year. Humanity has failed. Put it in your sig, so we can see how humanity is doing on a day to day basis. "

That's a pretty interesting idea, don't you think? I might go ahead with that. As the regular lurker and irregular poster of Complaints, I've seen quite disastrous amounts of things steadily losing faith in humanity. I weep for my eventual offspring.
So here's the deal. I'm going to give myself 365 faith in humanity points (giving it a healthy bonus since it's a new year) and every time I hear about people having sexual relations with a dead horse, I subtract one point from the FIH-pool, and every time I hear about superawesomehappy stories, I'll add a point to the FIH-pool which will be constantly updated in my sig whenever I can be assed because I'm a procrastinator and a good one at that.
If people turns out to be quite interested in this project, I'll go forward with it, and I might make a written deviation summing up the faith in humanity project, including every incident causing me to subtract/add a FIH-point, with links to stories/images/whatever source, if such is available.
What do you guys think? This might turn out to be quite interesting. But I cannae be arsed if there's like 2 people interested. Gimme some opinions on this, folks.

I might just do that, except I would have to go back and try to count how many times people have disappointed me in the last 7 days. It's a large number.

That's actually an interesting idea. I think the humanity points should be upped more to 400 though to make it nice and even, or maybe I'm just trying to give humanity a chance or 366.

Satire's my weapon, but I'm too discreet To run amuck, and tilt, all that I meet.
Well damn, I've started a trend. This brings a happy tear to my eye. +1 point to humanity. That evens out the -1 I got after reading about the dead horse shagger
Much love for spreading the word!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
