"Digital art lacks an original. One can buy a print of the Mona Lisa for their room, or a replica of the Statue of David for their living room, but then their friends come over no one will make a deal out of since those artworks are simply cheap imitations. People like to feel special, and they do it by owning things that other do not have. Their is nothing more special, more irreplaceable than an original of something popular that no one else will be able to have. Digital art can never provide people with this feeling, that is why digital art will never be regarded on the same level as traditional art"

Good art is good art.

The means of creating it will never change what it is.

According to that, Beethoven's Ode to Joy is inferior to some shit drawings here since since there is no original since it couldn't be recorded. Sheet music isn't music and it still has to be played by people other than the original. In fact, if someone traveled back in time to record the original performance of the piece, it would still just be a copy and nothing more.

I don't care how art is made, as long as it's pretty.

By the way, you're asking for trouble with this topic.

you missing the point.

Good art is good art. But an original is better than a replica.

You could claim the same thing about such traditional art forms as the woodcut. I doubt we have the original bits of wood Katsushika Hokusai used for his pieces.

No, but if someone found the original music sheet written by Beethoven it would sell for thousands in not millions of dollars. A print of the music sheet would not.

Also, music is a little different since it is the sound.

Music is art, is it not?
