I think adCast should be explained more easily to people. Some users don't even know what it is.

I don't personally use it but I'm considering it :paranoid:

Is this the new *spot? ;)
Looks like you've been around awhile! Congrats on the job!

I'm not crazy about the "Tip: Get more pageviews with adCast" thing, because pageviews really aren't what dA is about, or at least shouldn't be what dA is about. I think someone told me they've also seen something along the lines of "Tip: Expand your audience with adCast," which sounds better to me. Okay, yeah, it's basically saying the same thing, but the implications are a little different. =p Subtle, yes, but just a tad classier? Sharing art v. gaining stats.

Anyways, that had nothing to do with the service itself, but just my two cents.

I think adCast is a great way to showcase your art to other people...

It's like an amuse bouche, but for the eyes... you can tantalize someone by essentially saying, "Look this is what I can do! Follow me if you want to see more."

We guarantee that at the very least 500 people will follow you somewhere of your own choosing (yes, you can buy adCast for someone else, just tell us where to go when you sign up) as long as it doesn't direct to a commercial site (non-profits are ok).

And thank you for the warm welcome!

I just bought the $20 ad cast the other day and it seems to be worth it. A lot more people seem to be coming to my page, watching me, faving my work, and commenting.....

I just dont know anyone who would spend a grand just to get pageviews ect ect that seems WAYYY to pricey and expensive.

I think the adcast is useful if you're trying to sell prints or get more people involved in a project.

ooh i really like that suggestion to change the way they worded it! i agree with you that dA should be more about the art experience than the amount of pageviews you get daily. hopefully that will be considered :)

essentially you buy a package that lets you create an advertisement that will run throughout the site on non-subscriber userpages above the user comments section. you have a limited number of "clicks" to your advert until it expires. so, it broadens the views you get to your site which in turn lets your art become more exposed to other artists on the website. :)
