The TailGrappler's more often referred to as T-Gra's originated from a cold barren planet foreign to Earth, very little is known about them- at least to humans. The species can mainly communicate with the 'animal' species on earth, with the exception of a few whom have the capability to talk to humans as well. Most well known among felines and canines the T-Gra's slowly inhabited various places on Earth. It is said that the Legends, so they are called sent the original T-Gra's to earth to help maintain and help the planet's inhabitants. They eventually became more acknowledged by humans as some became tame and sometimes even became pets, the others stayed feral yet respectful, they continued their duties, but also assisted the humans.
