Hey, everyone!

I reached my 7th year in deviantART, so to celebrate, I'm holding a mini contest! If you have any questions not answered in the FAQ, please don't hesitate to ask.

WHAT'S THE THEME?

The theme is Fantasy!

What your portrayal of your fantasy character is up to you! Is your character from a MMORPG? A character from your original story about witches? What kind of creature is it? You can even do crossovers like mixing fantasy with sci-fi! Your creativity has no limits!

WHEN'S THE CONTEST PERIOD?

March 21, 2015 until June 1st, 2015 11:59PM EST

If you happen to be very close to finishing your entry but know that you wouldn't reach the deadline, I will allow you to request for an extension, but please be reasonable! Meow :3

WHAT ARE THE RULES?

  1. This is a drawing contest. Digital and traditional styles will be accepted.
  2. Your entry must be original! That means no using of bases, tracing and editing of existing artworks and characters.
  3. Your entry must be made specifically for the contest; Entries submitted prior to the contest period will not be accepted.
  4. Only one (1) character and entry per person is allowed.
  5. You must be a member of the deviantART community!

HOW DO I SUBMIT?

  1. Submit your entry to your gallery and send the link to Kirlyfish (me) via note entitled "Contest Entry."
  2. Link back to the contest journal and contest host Kirlyfish (me) in the description of your entry.
  3. Not necessary, but will definitely score extra points with the judges: Write a short description about your character. Up to you on how long and what the contents will be. Enjoy!

FAQ

  Q: Is the entry supposed to be a reference sheet, full body art, etc?
  A: Be as creative as you like. Of course, do what you think will rack up some points and impress the judges! ;D (Hint: show the body, flaunt the design of the clothing, write a compelling background story about the character, etc.)

  Q: Where can I see the contest entries?
  A: Submitted entries can be viewed in this Collection. If you don't find your entry in the folder, I may have missed it in my inbox. Just let me know so I can add it in!

  Q: I already submitted an entry but I want to replace/edit it, may I?
  A: Yes! As long as there's still time.

  Q: If I win the contest, may I give the prize(s) to someone else?
  A: Yes!
