WHO ARE WE?

We're called BioDitto. We are a small business based in Australia that produces artwork based on a representation of your very own DNA. Your DNA is the unique molecule stored in (almost) every cell in your body; it's the instruction manual for how you are built! Our process for converting it into artwork goes a little like this: We send you a DNA collection kit (quick, easy and painless... we promise!) and you mail it back to us. We do some molecular biology/magic in the lab (we can give you in-depth description of this if you're really keen!) and we produce a graphical image that represents only you. Every portrait is unique because your DNA is unique! It's what makes you... you! 

WHAT DO WE NEED?

We're just starting up. All our molecular lab methods and graphic design methods for creating the artworks are done. At the moment we're getting together our web presence and branding. Consequently, we need a logo. The logo should be in a modern style using graphical elements and/or typography. We love typography, so we're happy to have a logo that is either graphical or a typographical representation of any relevant concepts and our business name "BioDitto". Inspiration might come from concepts like science, chemistry, DNA, biology, finger-prints, etc. Pretty much any file format is OK, but we’d strongly prefer a vector format (Adobe Illustrator, SVG, PS, EPS, etc.). Otherwise, a print-resolution (not smaller than 5cm on the shortest side at 300dpi) version in a PSD, PNG, TIFF, JPG or similar is acceptable. For the competition entry, you can send a low resolution ‘preview’, as long as you can send the high resolution copy when we notify you that you’re the winner. Lastly, because we’re looking for a logo for our business, you’ll need to give us unrestricted rights to use it… there’s not much point in us having a logo that we can’t use!

WHAT DOES THE WINNER GET?

We'd like to offer a DNA portrait to the winner of our competition. This will be a ready-to-hang (for those in Australia) or a rolled-canvas or paper (your choice - for those outside Australia) 30x40cm canvas print of your DNA artwork and a high-resolution digital file that can be used without restriction - print it out, use it on your business cards, make it into a phone case... or whatever you like.

HOW TO ENTER

Email your artwork to competition@bioditto.com.au. If you have trouble, let us know at the same address and we can provide you with alternative means for supplying your entry. You can submit as many entries as you like. The competition is open until the 21^st of May.
