I was wondering if someone could help me write a short poem that would in the style of something from the classical greek period. I know what I want to write about but I'm not sure of the popular writing style of the era and some terminology. Any help would be appreciated :]

Or try Sappho if you're looking for lyric poetry :)

I'd try looking up samples of Homer's Iliad or the Odyssey. Great examples of Epic poems.

Euros jingle in my hands:
"borrowed time" – from foreign lands.

Tourists come to see our ruins,
punny jokes...on what we're doin'.

Opa!

That's a Greek poem for you - from an actual Greek (me)!
