Hello!

I'm currently working on writing a series of short stories called the 209 Detective Adventures. The stories feature the 209 Detective Agency, some characters I created for the last novel I wrote. In order to get enough content, I need you! Submit your character and they might star in one of these stories!

How to Submit:

1. Reply to this thread with info about your character. Picture, backstory, whatever.

2. If you have a specific sort of high-school mystery in mind, you can suggest it and I'll try to work it in.

3. Sit back and enjoy!
--

About Genre:

The tone of these stories are humorous, and its set in a fictitious high school in present day. If your character is not from this world/planet/dimension/time period/species, but you still want to apply, you have one of two options:

1. High-school-ify your character. Just change it so it fits into the setting.

2. Let me high-school-ify your character. I don't mind and it'll take no time at all, but you won't have creative control over what they'll end up being. (ex. your super warrior might end up as a computer nerd.)

IMPORTANT: I will take 5 characters to start with.

You can ask whatever questions you'd like.

I'd love to submit a character. Quick question, though: will I still retain rights for my character? That is, you only receive rights to use the character for these stories, right?

Oh, yeah, of course. There's no intended commercial use, it's just for fun.

And some practice. For me. D:

I'd be glad to let you borrow one of my characters, but first:

Will you acknowledge the personalities and forms of the characters, regardless of who made them?

One more Thing: Must every character be in a high-school age, like 14-18 years old? Are Written Descriptions for what a High School Version of an OC would be like okay?

As For A high school mystery, I might be able to think of something!
:icontsuneon:
Not sure what you mean on the first question? My intent is to use your character as much as I can, meaning appearance, personality, etc. is all intact. The only reason it might be modified is say, your character is a sword-wielding demon-hunter from Prarl. My characters live in a world free of demons, not in Prarl, and carrying a sword in public is a misdemeanor. xD

I suppose they don't have to be high school age. It's more important that they exist within our present day world than that they're 14-18. Older or younger characters are fine, and actually might be more interesting to write. Good question! :D

A written description is fine.

Okay! Here is my character Yuko Chan:

[link]

Yuko Chan is a Cute, Sweet, Kind-Hearted, and Generous little girl with a strange Cowgirl curse.

To learn a lot more about her, including backstory, full personality, and bio, read the Artist's Comments on the Yuko Chan Art Page!

For a High School Mystery, I think of something as soon as I can!

Could my character, Blaman, be of any use?

All his info is here:

He doesn't have to have his Blitz ability if you think it may hinder anything. I'm not very good with height and weight, so that's why they're not specified.

I see it all over the place and don't know what it means... what does OC stand for?
