I am SO frickin' hyped, you would not believe! For what? Why, for the video game speedrunning charity event going on this week! Also known as Games Done Quick!

The creator commentary! The runner commentary! The bid wars! The raffles! The races! The skill! The complete and total breaking of awful, buggy games that everyone hates, anyway! (Lookin' at you, Sonic Boom.)

I've made it a point to reserve my vacations for these events, paid or not. What can I say, I like watching skilled people play games! And it goes on for a week straight! 24 hours a day! NO BREAKS! (Not counting cutscene potty breaks.) Bonus points for the marathon being for charities like Doctors Without Borders and the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

And it's good to take a break from work at least once in the year if you can, y'know? Just relax for a few days and not worry about anything. Refreshing as fuck~
