Praise the Improvement

Yay! We're all going places with this art thing we all do! 
You should have asked artists to show how much they have improved. Would have made this thread much more interesting

A typical character-drawing for me in 2006
and a typical one for me now 
This site certainly helped me grow at a time I really needed it. I was lacking any real incentive before I joined dA because before I did I had no real competition, and I was surrounded by "yes men" who always said my work was great, and I believed them. Since joining I've developed much more critical eye, and I shudder at the sight of old work I once considered to be "good"

Well, I praise improvement in life, I think it deserves it more.
