A young man with Asperger's saved up for two full years to purchase a set, only to learn that it had been discontinued in the interim.

Someone sent a letter to the Lego Corporation about it, and in response an employee found the kid a set and sent it to him for free.

Go Lego, eh?

I absolutely love this story. When I was a real little kid, I loved Lego Pirates. And I coveted the Pirate Queen, but she was in a set my parents couldn't afford. They wrote to Lego asking if there was any way they could buy her separately. And then they sent one to me for free... and it arrived on my birthday! Nice to know the company is still making kids' days like they made mine.
