I've been doing 1hr work out sessions daily, and I've found some awesome yoga videos on youtube, I have never felt anything work so quickly and so painfully as it. I can really feel the difference O:
Do any of you do yoga? If so, any good links/poses to improve my strength?
Haha I did Judo for 10 years, that helps with balance....
That said. I did actually almost fall over and my boyfriend was just confused because it looked like I was doing a one legged dance. My balance would have been awful if I hadn't of done Judo.
Did it for about 6 sessions but have changed my schedule around. I noticed slightly better balance and body awareness. Felt high whenever I came out too. I expect its the release of hormones that the stretching facilitates.
I feel MUCH happier since I've started exercising properly. I do about 4-5 hours a week, and I want to increase that as I have no work. Anyway, I just really really enjoy it. I've had been feeling down for a while and I started exercising and now, I'm so motivated and happy and energetic, and I just feel better within myself. Its so nice.
I also really love the pigeon stretch, its satisfying.
If you are able to exercise, I dont see why you would choose not to! Being physical rocks! From Tai Chi to Weight Lifting, to Jogging, to Ninjutsu, its all good!
I go to it every Tuesday evenings for FREE! The local art museum funded it and I felt so much better doing it. It's Yoga Dao and it goes more into psycho-spiritual elements of the practice and it's really interesting. I do a little bit less on a daily basis, but I do do it outside of the class.
I used to do yoga, not daily but 1.5-2 hour sessions twice a week, my muscles grew from it! I miss it now, I should really start doing it again. My biggest problem was weak arm muscles and I build them with sun salute (downward facing dog/upward facing dog), supported head stand, dolphin, pinchu mayurasana.. all supported on a wall though because I'm a noob I find the crow to be most challenging, I never really got it right even in my best days.
