Ok sorry about this totally lamo question but what would you call a defining piano piece. ie can you cum up with one? for example "your song by elton john" soz if i knicked urs then. heh. any way any answers would be helpful fanks.
i dont know much about popular music (ie mainstream musicians such as elton john), but rhapsody in blue is a classic and an impresser for sure. a more modern piano piece called cat and mouse by aaron copland (maybe? not really sure on the artist) is fun to play, very contemporary, and REALLY impresses people...that is, if you can play it. it was one of my favorite songs to play when i was excelling in piano.
on the more mainstream side, check out kissing you by deseree, off the romeo and juliet soundtrack. its beautiful and not hard to play, as well as very defining. i have an infinite knowledge about piano music so if any of those dont sound like what youre looking for let me know and ill throw some more at you
Fanks thats all really helpful. rhapsody in blue ithink ive heard of and im gonna see if i can listen to the other ones on u tube or something. if u have ne others then id luv 2 hear them fanks >D
you bet! im trying to think of some very distinct songs that aren't super clique. rhapsody in blue is old school so i lot of people havent heard that one. let's see....clair de lune is a good one (though sad), and the classical piece called Romance is good as well. La Orange (the storm) is good if youre looking for dramatics
for example "your song by elton john" soz if i knicked urs then. heh.
any way any answers would be helpful
fanks.
