Decriminalizing Drugs in Portugal a Success!

:iconinfinitetolerance:
infinitetolerance Featured By Owner Feb 25, 2013
This is coming from TIME magazine people. [link]

So, shouldn't we decriminalize here?

This means that nobody will go to prison for using a drug. They just get a ticket and get offered treatment.

Well, drug use actually went down in Portugal.

They did this in 2001.

agreed.

please note that Portugal did not legalize drugs either, they just decided to start treating addicts like victims and not perpetrators. That is a good idea, because if your on an addictive substance, you can't just stop using it, and you become a victim.

The perpetrators are big phrama and the drug cartels, both the same from my perspective.(how many drugs made by big pharma have a street value?, and flew under the radar for decades).

That said, pot needs to be fully legal.

Man, I want to do shrooms again.

I can't wait until we can buy shroom candy bars!

You just invalidated your own point. You want to do shrooms again but don't because of legalities. But you will if they become legal. So use will increase if made legal by your own testimony.

Brilliant.

So you're saying use will increase if drugs were legalized?

Where's your source on that?

It increased in Portugal according to this.
