There's some logic to this, noone has ever commited a crime, while high on grass, it makes people too laid back/mellow, plus grass has never killed someong. However there is one big side effect, most people wouldn't be happy about, it kills braincell, and important ones at that, specifically the ones that handle short term memory.
Due to that, such a law would never be passed in a million years, nice try though.
You know you're talking out of your ass with the last part atleast. When a pot head(and yes, this is counting when the person Isn't even high too) can't remember something that you two where discussing 10 seconds ago, It's 100% proof it effects you.
yeah it causes temporary short-term memory loss while you're high. the effects have proven to not be long-term though, they go away once you're not high anymore.
and anyway none of that has anything to do with killing brain cells. the studies all indicate it has no effect on brain cell growth, or it may help promote brain cell growth, but that is still inconclusive. you can believe the studies or not, i don't care, but i usually just side with what the science says, that's just what makes the most sense to me.
well actually, no, that's not what the studies indicate. studies indicate the short-term memory loss is a product of being high and is not long term. but like i said you can believe the studies or not, that's up to you, i just usually base my opinions of studies, but not everyone does that so i guess you don't have to.
no something could cause memory loss without killing brain cells. those are two very different things. there's definitely no evidence that weed kills brain cells. but again this is just what science says, and if you don't want to believe in science that is totally up to you.
When Ned Flanders became Global Overlord in that alternate reality he suppressed all opposition by having anyone who put a toe out of line lobotomised. This seems like the same thing.
It will backfire on you. Paranoia is a well known effect of long-term marijuana use, as consistently demonstrated by yourself. The population will become mellow at first, then very difficult to control. They'll be too baked to fight, of course, but you won't be able to get them to do what you want either.
As far as in relation to 2nd amendment, what about if a country declares war on US? We'll be a little helpless on fighting back.
And I sense many issues with forcing everyone to smoke marijuana, including infringing on people's rights, people with lung problems or allergic to weed, or those who don't BELIEVE in smoking at all. Good luck getting into office if legalization and enforcement of marijuana are your only perks.
It's one thing to advocate for it being legalized, and quite another to advocate for mandating people to smoke that much of a chemical that's not been rigorously tested. The issues relating it and psychotic disorders are still very much unsettled.

I know people who go both ways on that one, too. I never had a problem mixing pot and alcohol, but I know people who get sick or worse.
I don't know if the same thing happens with edibles, though. That might be easier on some people since it processes differently.
Or of course you could just know your weed. THC is actually the compound that causes the 'bad' things about pot (paranoia, increased heart rate, etc) and when the pot oxidizes (even just drying) it increases another chemical that causes the same things. There's a third compound (google didn't help within one page and I don't feel like looking it up) that causes the 'good' things, like relaxation and creativity and whatnot- I think that's CBD.
So the trick is to find something that has the right balance of chemicals to do what you want. If it makes you paranoid you need to find something with a lower ratio of THC to the other stuff.
I used to know all those names off the top of my head. I don't know whether that is a good thing or not...
Regardless, though, if you think it's going to do something bad to you, it will. So once someone gets that attitude of 'this makes me really paranoid and uncomfortable' its really hard to get over.
You say the government is controling us and yet you want to run it and require us to smoke that nasty stuff. Damn you're a horrible troll (that or weed is doing what it should and frying your brain so you wouldn't be able to even run for janitor of the local town hall, although you could be the village idiot)
Man, everyone knows you're a troll but did you really have to make it so obvious that you've never even touched weed in your life? An accomplished smoker couldn't hit an ounce in one shot. Your mandate is impossible. Gosh, grow up.
