I am writing here to come out of the closet as a paid shill. For a little over six months, I was paid to spread disinformation and argue political points on the Internet.
My task? “To support Israel and counter anti-Israeli, anti-Semitic posters.” Fine with me. I had no opinions one way or another about Israel, and who likes anti-Semites and Nazis? Not me, anyway. But I didn’t know too much about the topic.
“That’s OK,” she said. “You’ll pick it up as you go along. For the most part, at first, you will be doing what we call “meme-patrol.” This is pretty easy. Later if you show promise, we’ll train you for more complex arguments, where more in-depth knowledge is necessary.”
Organized like an Espionage Operation
She handed me two binders with sheets enclosed in limp plastic. The first was labeled simply “Israel” in magic-marker on the cover, and it had two sections .
The first section contained basic background info on the topic. I would have to read and memorize some of this, as time went on. It had internet links for further reading, essays and talking points, and excerpts from some history books.
The second, and larger, section was called“Strat” (short for “strategy”) with long lists of “dialogue pairs.” These were specific responses to specific postings. If a poster wrote something close to “X,” we were supposed to respond with something close to “Y.”
“You have to mix it up a bit, though,” said my trainer.“Otherwise it gets too obvious. Learn to use a thesaurus.”
This section also contained a number of hints for de-railing conversations that went too far away from what we were attempting.
These strategies included various forms of personal attacks, complaining to the forum moderators, smearing the characters of our opponents, using images and icons effectively, and even dragging the tone of the conversation down with sexual innuendo, links to pornography, or other such things.
“Sometimes we have to fight dirty,” or trainer told us. “Our opponents don’t hesitate to, so we can’t either.”

When the motivation of the palestinian (extremist muslim) aggressors is no longer the total eradication of all jews, then it's time to start taking "Israeli shills" less seriously than the opposition.
Palestine is, and never has been a victim. In fact, it has never actually been anything at all, since only their absolute hatred of the jews that moved next door managed to unite them and make them call themselves with a semi-official name of "palestinians". Israel rightfully owns every piece of land in dispute, (regions it "occupies") because after its foundation, every muslim nation attacked it in the attempt of wiping out the jews, all of them lost, and thus Israel rightfully claimed the land as its own. And Israel in its boundless capability to reason, actually donated back almost all of the land it claimed.
The "palestine" opposition was just what was left of the anti-semitist front, and did not accept the ground under their feet being recategorized as "Israel" even if it meant no physical changes in their lives. And they still don't recognise that land as that. Yet they insist on getting statehood for their people, whose status as a united people is entirely based on their mutual genocidal hatred of jews. What a nice "state". No "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" there. Anti-semitism is their foundation.
The reason why the movement has grown isn't increased jew-hatred. Instead someone has cooked up the idea that there is oppression, and "fighting against evil oppressors" gives people motivation, who otherwise wouldn't just shoot rockets at their neighbors to kill some jews. I'd be willing to bet that if the sides were equally matched, this anti-Israel propaganda would not even exist. Nobody could claim sympathy for using the victim-card. People would correctly point out the fact that the only reason why the conflict still goes on is because all jews have not been killed yet, and it never will, unless either them or their killers are all dead.
The reason why so many innocent palestinians are dead, is the fact that the palestinian extremists refuse to stop trying to kill all Israeli people. Israel retaliates, there's collateral damage, more victims, more whining, more motivated people joining the jew-killer squad. And round and round we go. If palestine would lay down their arms today, there would be peace. If Israel would do the same, they would be eradicated to the last child. And there would be massive street parties in every single muslim region in the world. Not because "Palestine is finally free" but because Israel was finally destroyed.

It's truly sad but it happens in war--and THIS war was started by the Palestinians. I don't see what you're point is. If the Palestinians would stop attacking Israel, Israel would leave them alone.

And how many times have I said so far that I agree with you that it is tragic that civilians have been killed on both sides? The reason I believe that Israel is on the right side--NOT BY JUSTIFYING CIVILIAN CASUALTIES--is because Hamas started this war, and for the following reasons:
1) Hamas builds rocket pits next to playgrounds and hides command centers under hospitals. Why would they do this? Because they honestly don't care about their own civilians being killed as long as the deaths give them more material to wage a propaganda war. Because of how biased the world media is against Israel, Palestinian civilian deaths work in favor of the terrorists.
2) The IDF goes to great lengths to warn citizens of Gaza about where their air strikes will take place. They drop leaflets, make phone calls, send out text messages, etc., warning people to vacate the area before they launch their rockets. Nowhere in the handbook of waging war is this required, but Israel does it to preserve life.
3) Hamas, on the other hand, specifically targets population centers in Israel. Just today, two Hamas rockets hit classrooms in major schools. Thankfully, because of the ongoing attacks, Israeli children are not in school today and no one was killed.
Hamas is waging a "holy" war against Israel, by any means necessary, simply because they despise Israel and the Jewish people. It's in their charter, look it up. Israel is waging war to protect their citizens from radical terrorists. Who is in the right here?

There was a settlement called Dashurin (sp?) were Israel was trying to buy the land, when the Palestinian landowners refused, Israeli soldiers came in, rounded up every villager, lined them up, and shot every man, woman, and child there, 400 in all. You will have a lot of trouble finding resources about this once hidden event as almost every victim was killed during it.

You're right, I'm having a hard time finding a source for this. And since that goes completely against everything the IDF stands for, and every story I've heard about how IDF soldiers go out of their way to protect the innocent and avoid civilian casualties, I'm not going to believe this outlandish story (unless you give me a credible source). If this was true, the anti-Israel liberal elite would not rest until every person on earth had heard it.
