A Challenge for Conservatives (Prove it.)

Chronorin's avatar
Ever since Barack Hussein Obama was re-elected less than a week ago, I've noticed that a lot of conservatives are making some fairly dire predictions. They say that America just died, that they're going Galt, that we are all slaves now, that the eschaton has been immanetized, and so on and so forth.

I think it's a bit overblown, personally.

But one never knows. So what I propose is this -- a four-year diary project for conservatives, republicans, and other affiliated libertarians and teabaggers. From the year 2012 to the year 2016, I would like to see a written record of every time the US government violates your freedom.

And I'm not talking about things that might happen, or things that you're afraid might happen, or things that Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck swear are assuredly happening to somebody somewhere. Nah, I want to hear the specific instances of Obama's tyranny as it affects your life.

And at the end of those four years, I and every other librul in the country will review the records and take them into consideration. Perhaps things are going on that we are simply not aware of.

I just want to see more on your list than "had to pay taxes, had to take my shoes off at the airport, and couldn't put Truck Nutz on my F-150."

So.

Any conservatives want to take me up on this?

I believe the term for what these people are doing is called sour grapes. The Republicans are sulking that someone who's not them is still running the country, so they do what they do best. They want to scare as many people as they can. They're just acting out like any spoiled brat child would when they don't get their own way.
Chronorin's avatar
That's.... pretty much it.

Republicans are anarcho-fascists. When one of them is in charge, they are fascists. When one of their opponents is in charge, they are anarchists.
Zucca-Xerfantes's avatar
Just a few thoughts >_>

We made dire predictions and... hooo yeah, there's this fiscal cliff rushing up.

The media's going to point fingers at the EVUL Rethugnicans, saying that they're refusing to cooperate with Obama. (Nevermind the fact that Obama went on the record, stating that he won't cooperate with Republicans if they DARE to try to keep tax cuts for businesses both large and small in).

But hey, you voted for him.

Heh heh heh...

I mean...

After Detroit turned out en masse to vote for the BlightBringer’s Second Term of Free Rubbers and ObamaPhones, they’re not feeling the love the way they expected [link]

--City Council member JoAnn Watson said Tuesday the citizens support of Obama in last month’s election was enough reason for the president to bailout the struggling the city. (Click the video player to listen)

“Our people in an overwhelming way supported the re-election of this president and there ought to be a quid pro quo and you ought to exercise leadership on that,” said Watson. “Of course, not just that, but why not?”--

We mean, WTF? SRSLY? OMG!

And, fearing that she hadn’t been quite clear in her prostitutism and demands for quid pro quos, she went on to say:

--“After the election of Jimmy Carter, the honorable Coleman Alexander Young, he went to Washington, D.C. He came home with some bacon,” said Watson. “That’s what you do.”--

Alright, we get it. No need to be any more bloody obvious about it, you hollerin’ harlot. You done spread your legs, so now there’d damn well better be some Jacksons on the nightstand!

It never ceases to amaze me how the BlightBringer, keeps making the gullible fools fall for it. I mean, seriously. Four years of letting themselves be used like cheap little bitches only to find out, once their usefulness has passed, that all they’re left with is a stain on the bedsheets and a sore sphincter and they STILL fall for it? Like that poor lady up north who got used for a photo op with Obama right after Sandy has passed and, more importantly, right before the election, listening to him promising her and everybody else the moon and how he, personally, would cut through any amount of red tape to get help to all of them right bloody quick (once he got back from Vegas and later Hawaii at a cost of no less than $5,000,000 taxpayer dollars, that is). Last we heard, she still didn’t have running water or electricity.

She’d served her part, so under the bus she went along with everybody else in NY and NJ. Like that odious fuckwad Chris Christie who couldn’t wait to put on his knee pads and start slurping and praise Obama to the skies. What has the Democrat party done for you lately? Does they even answer the phone anymore? You fat shmuck. But thanks for polishing Obama’s resume for him right before the fucking election, Chris Quisling.

You would think that his supporters would learn after having taken it up the Khyber Pass for four years, one broken promise and trip under the wheels of the bus that go round and round after another, but you’d be woefully wrong.

I’ll explain it to you one. more. time, you silly Obamarrhoids: He doesn’t give shit number ONE about you. He is fresh out of shits to give to you. He will pretend to give a good dadgum about you if you’re useful to him at any given point in time, but then he’ll turn around and dump you in the ditch (Not unlike Ted Kennedy, may the murderer burn for it) as soon as you’re not, and he is not losing one second’s worth of sleep because of it.

Because he knows full well that the next time he needs you to start slobbering, all he’ll have to do is ring the bell again.

Abused Wife Syndrome, much? Oh sure, this time it will be diff’runt and all. Tell that to the guys at the ER when they drag your battered and bruised bodies out from under the Obama Bus for the umpteenth time, we’re sure they’ve never heard that one before.

This is what he does, because that is what he is, because all he cares about is him. You don’t even register on his radar as something worth bothering himself with except inasmuch as he occasionally needs to pull you out of your kennels as the trained little dogs you are whenever he needs you for something. Just ask the people living in the Mogadishu slum communities that he “organized” back when he was busy polishing his resume as a “man of the people.” Ask them today, I FUCKING well double dare you.

What. Has. He. Done. For. You. Lately?

Go on now, I’ve got all day.

All politicians (Particularly Leftists since you've gone out of your way to make it a point that money is the focus of the Rightists :3) care about is power. For themselves. And the best way of getting that and of keeping it, more importantly, is to keep all of the huddled masses down in the dirt. Yapping, fighting among themselves and as powerless as humanly possible. That is why leftists hate liberty, armed citizens, free markets and equal opportunity so much, because that means that pretty much anybody might one day become a threat to that power they’ve so carefully hoarded for themselves.

They’ll tell you that they’re your champions, that they and they alone will stand up for you and help you improve your condition, and then they’ll go ahead and do everything they possibly can to make sure that that never happens.

“But why? How can you say that? Are you saying that they’re evil?”

You can call it “evil” if you want, I personally believe that it is, but, logically, they’re just acting in their own self-interest. Think about it: The only way they can sell the product of “we’ll make your lives better” is if you’re in the market of a better life. You can’t sell a TV to somebody who’s already got a dozen of them. And the only way they can make sure that you’re in the market for “a better life” is to do everything they can to make sure that your lives don’t ever improve. They’ve already got theirs. They’re feeding off of your misery and willingness to part with your resources for a “better life”, so if you ever actually get a better life, you don’t need them anymore.

And that just won’t do from their point of view, obviously.

It’s really, really logical, and you have to be a bit of a tosser to not see it right away.

You think that the unions gave a flying shit about the 18,500 workers that they put out of work when they killed Hostess? Do you really think that the best option for those workers, when faced with the choice between a pay cut (not at all a good thing) and no pay at all, was to lose their jobs entirely? Do you? Then you’re more terminally cluefucked than any sentient being ought to have a right to be. But if the unions had actually acted in their dues-paying members best interest and agreed to the compromise, then they’d have acknowledged that they were wrong in the first place and, what’s worse, their members might have realized that, what the fuck?, maybe we don’t need some fat clown scoring a quarter million bucks of our minimum wage monies for doing absolutely fuck all in order to keep food on the table for our families. They might have realized that the owners of the company, being no more interested in seeing their companies flushed down the shitter than their workers were seeing their jobs make the same journey, were actually human beings willing to work something out.

And that will NEVER do!

But keep sucking the teat of Other People’s Money, you deluded shmucks, just know that at some point Other People’s Money will run out and then you’re well and truly fucked.

And don’t expect your god, Hussein BlightBringer Obama or his many leftist henchmen to give even a single solitary good shit about you then. They don’t need to. They already have theirs. And they'll be far away from your cries.

And also expect that trying to convince the rest of us that “you couldn’t possibly have known” and that we therefore need to empathize with your plights when we, too, are feeling the crunch of your whore master’s deeds, won’t be easy. And that’s putting it mildly. You’ll be fucking lucky if I don’t just leave you outside the walls and laugh my ass off while you’re being torn apart by the jackals.

But hey, I'm a nice guy. And I'll help because my compassion is not compulsory.

Oh, and if you think I'm just a mouth for the Right, *hooooo* boy have you got another thing coming.

"You ever heard of Cloward and Piven?"

Something I desperately want to ask every single “pundit” on the so-called “right” whenever they go into deep, deep, thoughtful analyses about what “leverage” the GOP might have in the “Fiscal Cliff” negotiations.

FOR THOSE OF YOU LEFTISTS WHO ONLY SKIM (Yes, you!) MY POSTS, THIS IS WHERE I'M BASHING THE RIGHT.

You, you over-educated morons who have not the slightest experience with, and even less understanding of, how the left operates, need to just sit your privileged arses down and shut the fuck up while people who know what they’re talking about speak because, quite frankly, you’re only making yourselves look foolish every single damn time you open your ignorant yaps.

The Democrat Socialist Party in general, and Hussein BlightBringer Obama in particular, have not the least bit of interest in NOT going over that “cliff.”

Cloward-Piven again. Google it, you pampered fuckwads who were lucky enough to grow up in a country where you could delude yourselves with “it could never happen HERE” until it actually, you know, HAPPENED. You’re so pathetically sub-moronic that we’re getting a bit tired of repeating ourselves but, seeing as the “I told you so” drum is the only comfort we’re going to have as this nation descends into what we warned you against for well over a decade while you were busy singing “la-la-la, I can’t HEAR you”, we’re going to do so anyway.

Leftist totalitarianism can only, only succeed if you have enough under-educated twits in the middle of a giant collapse. Look at the Weimar Republic. You’ve heard of it, haven’t you, or were you too fucking busy jacking off to Family Ties? Russia 1917? No, Lenin and his posse wouldn’t have had much traction if Tsarist Russia hadn’t been a pile of Epic Fail thanks to an obsolete feudal system combined with a losing position in the first world war. Surely you must have heard about THAT war, no?

And if they HAVEN’T got that, they’ll make one of their own. That’s what Cloward-Piven was all about, and they were even courteous enough to spell it out in large neon letters right in front of your faces for you.

OK, I get it. You’d been spared so far, but now the shit has hit the fan and it’s way beyond time to recognize that the leftist have what they want and they’re stomping down on the accelerator.

Kindly quit fooling yourselves into thinking that the Democrat Fascist Party have the slightest inclination to do the right thing, because that’s exactly what they do NOT want at this point. They’re exactly where they want to be. The system has to crash so they can come in and respond to the desperate cries of “somebody’s gotta do SOMETHING!” Because when people are starving, they don’t give two good shits about what the “solutions” are going to cause, they just want another meal.

The Democrat Socialist Fascists WANT the fiscal cliff to happen, because it will give them every single excuse they need to transform this nation into Venezuela/Brazil.

But what they want even MORE is for the dickless GOP to cave in to a “compromise” with Weepy Boner at the head of it so they can blame the GOP for everything that will inevitably happen. They’ll then say “well, we WANTED to save the nation, but the GOP’s intransigence, which we had to yield to for the Common Good™, made our brilliant plan crash and burn.”

Oh, they’ll blame the GOP no matter what, make no mistake, but it’s kind of hard to do so if said GOP can say, right up front, that they gave Obama and the Dems everything they wanted.

Any “compromise” in this situation is a loss. Give them what they want. Just vote “present” on it and let the National Socialist Democrat Workers’ Party own every last bit of it.

We’re too far down the road to avoid that cliff now, we can blame that on ourselves for not having fought the commie bastards hard enough (it would be a shame to have a negative column in the New York Times, after all, who gives a shit about our children being slaves compared to that?), but let’s at least not leave our fingerprints on the inevitable collapse, m’kay?

And if Weepy Boner and Mitch McCockless refuse to see that, if they still leave their prints on a “Grand Bargain”, then let me announce that they're gallows-bound just as much as anyone else when the truth is finally dragged out of Democrat's hiding places and exposed.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Think it's any easier here in California?

ATTENTION COLLECTIVE NINNIES WHO ONLY SKIM OVER MY POSTS, THIS IS WHERE I START BASHING THE LEFT AGAIN! PLEASE PREPARE YOUR RESPONSES DETAILING HOW OFFENDED YOU ARE THAT I WOULD LUMP YOU IN WITH BASEMENT-DWELLING MAMA'S BOY WELLFARE LEECHES! EXCEPT I'M NOT, BUT SINCE THAT DOESN'T ACTUALLY MATTER, PREPARE THE OFFENDED RESPONSES!

And now, for some wholly unexpected news out of the People’s Socialist Republic of California under the august leadership of Consul Moonbeam: [link]

--California State Controller John Chiang has announced that total state revenue for the month of November 2012 fell $806.8 million, or 10.8%, below budget.

Democrats thought they could hammer “the rich” by convincing voters to pass Proposition 30 to create the highest state income tax in the nation. But it now appears that high income earners have already “voted with their feet” by moving themselves and their businesses out of state, resulting in over $1 billion shortfall in corporate and income taxes last month and the beginning of a new financial crisis.--

And who could possibly have foreseen that?

It’s almost as if tenants might conceivably move out if their landlords announce that their rent is going to 'necessarily skyrocket' [link] next month! Then, when the collectors arrive next month, they’re left scratching their heads as cobwebs gather in the suddenly empty tenement halls. Utterly BAFFLING, I tell you!

--State Controller John Chiang reported:

November’s disappointing revenues stand in stark contrast to recent news that California is leading the nation in job growth,--

Are those actual numbers, or are you still reading off the cooked ones that you sent out prior to Obama's re-selection? Also, those “new jobs” wouldn’t happen to be predominantly in government services, would they?

--has significantly improved its cash liquidity to pay bills,--

Not sure that $1,000,000,000 in additional debt speaks very highly of your “cash liquidity”, unless you’re just talking about the increasing amount of worthless paper in circulation.

--This serves as a sobering reminder that, while the economy is expanding, it is doing so at a slow and uneven pace that will require the State to exercise care and discipline in how its fiscal affairs are managed in the coming year.--

Since cutting spending is clearly off the table, you could always ask the parasite electorate of California to vote to jack up taxes on the people still around to provide them with jobs even further. It worked so well the last time, didn’t it? And the last, and the last, and every single time in all of recorded human history.

But THIS time it will work out, right? And then, then we’ll have the Obamunist Obamutopia of Next Tuesday™, at long last.

Thanks hyper leftists. My friends who are moving out of state because they can't afford to live here anymore thank you. The businesses that your 'fleece the job creators' [link] policies have driven out thank you. [link] [link]

Me? I'm still here for now. When the day comes that the vote is once again fucking stolen, I want to be able to scream 'Bullshit!' from the tops of the hills when, like those East US counties have, got zero Republican votes (For those of you with an ounce of gray matter to squeeze, that is a literal statistical impossibility, but go right the motherfuck ahead and clap your ears shut and deny the mass voter fraud along with the fact the military were denied their right to vote and they deserve to vote a FUCK of a lot more than you or I) to be able to beg the ignorant around me, pleading upon purposefully deafened ears that my vote was not counted.

I know those of you who have actually bothered to read all this will be *RARE*. But if you've gleamed nothing else from it but that you're being lied to by the party that has the standing record for presiding over ruin, then I'll still be satisfied.

That is all.

Oh, but let me leave with a little video to confound the ignorant ^_^ [link]

Mitch McCockless? I like that. I've just been calling him Bitch McConnell, myself.
Zucca-Xerfantes's avatar
This is a Republic. I have as much disdain for McConnel for not representing us as I do towards Obama for not representing you.

If you gleam nothing else from this, it's that we, the lot of us, have been had.

Not that such knowledge is of use now. And I'm not even saying Romney's victory would have guaranteed American prosperity. That time has passed.

For now though, I'm maintaining a wee garden on my balcony and keeping a few bags of freeze-dried food handy.

For any given disaster, mind you, be it Earthquake, tsunami or war.

But there's only one of those that requires a firearm to protect hearth and home... -_-;

Chron, I don't want all of that to happen.

I just want to be left alone to live my life as a free man.

And not either party's establishment wants that.
Major-Malfunction's avatar
This is an utterly pointless exercise. For the most part, the effects of the choices of a president don't truly hit until several years after they're out of office. You think major changes made to an incredibly complicated system of bureaucracy can take place over night? No, and especially when it comes to economics, anything concerning economics can sometimes take up to a decade to take effect.
Chronorin's avatar
You're right! You're absolutely and completely right in every way!

That's the point i'm trying to make. So why do conservatives say they're going to start buying ammo and dehydrated food when their guy loses? Why do they start talking about concentration camps?

And why do they blame our debt, which was exploded by eight years of Bush's wars and tax cuts, on Obama? Don't they understand that it takes up to a decade?

We are in total agreement.
Major-Malfunction's avatar
They're worried that Obama's choices are going to end up even more catastrophic than the economic crash under Bush.
Chronorin's avatar
Some people seem to have a set amount of fear and panic in their brains.

If they weren't terrified of Obama, they'd be losing their minds over the Mayan calendar or the Book of Revelations or global warming.

They just need a target to express their congenital terror of existence.
Major-Malfunction's avatar
Not necessarily. While those types are certainly a percentage of those worried about Obama, many of them have genuine concerns for the ways in which he runs the government, and the long term effects its going to have over the United States in the coming decades.
Chronorin's avatar
Yes.

If people have long-term grievances about our system of government, that's fine. I share many of those concerns.

What i can't stand are people who have remained silent for most of their lives, only to "wake up" as soon as a black Democrat is elected. I mean, let's review.

Reagan era. Global thermonuclear war is a possibility; trillion dollar deficits from unrestrained defense spending, illegal missiles sold to Iran...

...whatever, things are fine.

Bush era. Gulf War. Recession...

...whatever, things are fine.

Clinton era. Unrivaled prosperity; president and Congress working together, but troubling economic deals being made, Islamic threat growing...

...whatever! NAFTA? Al-Queda? I don't care, things are fine. I want to hear about the blowjob!

Bush era. Massive wasteful spending, two needless wars, gross corruption and incompetence, utter failure by the government, middle class vanishing...

...whatever! America rocks, things are always gonna be fine!

Obama era. Democrat wants to end wars and expand health care coverage, return tax rates to Clinton levels...

...OMG TYRANNY END OF AMERICA I'M SCARED SOCIALISM EVERYTHING IS BAD NOW I CAN'T BELIEVE IT WE NEED TO SECEDE JESUS IS ANGRY IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD MAN GAME OVER!!!!

By very definition a regulation is a restriction of liberty. In the past 7 days, this administration has proposed 388 new ones. The last 90 days? 6048.

While you and I both may agree with the premise of many of these, it still satisfies your request for proof of a restriction of liberties.
Chronorin's avatar
How many of these have happened personally to you?
maddmatt's avatar
So you do agree first there is a clear restriction of liberty.
Chronorin's avatar
Why, sure, but lots of things "restrict liberty." The Ten Commandments restrict liberty. Laws restrict liberty. Red lights that force me to stop restrict my liberty. Gravity restricts my liberty. Every breathe you draw kills millions of germs and takes away their liberty.

The very nature of the universe restricts liberty, because you can basically define liberty down to "anything besides total chaos."

So, how many of YOUR liberties has Obama restricted?
maddmatt's avatar
***
Why, sure, but lots of things "restrict liberty."
***
Yes. Lots of things do.

But since I satisfied your criteria of proof as evidence of your own acceptance here, what is it I get?

Is there a cookie or something coming in the mail? Or were your promises never to be fulfilled like many of our political campaigns. ;)

Many of those regulations personally effect me. As well as many of the policies Obama has put in place. The increasing tax and cost burden on me restricts my liberty. I know you are probably in a position where you are not responsible for yourself or others, but many of us are in that position. Every new regulation on our businesses that makes us buy another stack of paper, or hire specialized auditors, or adds time to process or produce something is a restriction of my personal liberty.

So it doesn't really seem like you think there is even a challenge here.
Chronorin's avatar
Oh, so now you stoop to cheap insults. You're not the first to do this; i've heard, over and over, that all liberals must, by definition, people with no jobs who live in parents' basements.

Dude, i left home at age 17 with $500 that i won in a Fountainhead essay contest, and have supported myself since then. So you can halt all the cheap ad hominem garbage.

And... you do realize that Obama CUT taxes, right?
maddmatt's avatar
***
Oh, so now you stoop to cheap insults.
***
Not sure where this insult is. Are you married...have kids? Own a business? Manage any number of employees? Responsible for any budgets beyond your own?

This is not an insult, it is just gathered from your language. If it is wrong, you are free to correct anything.

To quote you in 2004 "The American economy is slugging along, middle-class jobs migrate to India, while President Shrub tots up a record-breaking federal deficit with his drunken-sailor spending on foreign wars and manned missions to Mars..."

So how do you feel about the record-breaking spending now? lol..

But for someone that believes Obama has cut taxes and we are somehow paying less for it, there really is no discussion with an automaton.

As someone who can't support either party because they're both shit, Obama has done things that completely piss me off.

- The Patriot Act is still there. Obama renewed it his first term.

- The NDAA. This is without a doubt the very worst thing that could ever happen to the country and yet it's still alive, only delayed by a federal court because the decision to strike it down was rescinded. Basically because we're perpetually fighting a "war on terror" it means the president has the right to deny citizens their basic rights - arresting them and detaining them indefinitely without allowing them to hire a lawyer or even go on trial.

But of course it didn't even matter who won early November. Romney was as much in favor of these country-destroying acts as Obama. Next time someone tells you the U.S. is a "free country" laugh in their face and tell them about these two bits of legislation our very own executive and legislative branch, for the people, by the people, decided was A-OK. Land of the free my ass.
