Who's got your vote this November?

:iconpuddelbal:
With such a heated election season - even before the end of the primaries - we've all got a lot of political banter coming our way. So the big, inevitable, question is..'drumroll'... who do you plan on voting for this November?

Explain to me why.

* No, "Democraps are Nazis" or "Romney's a tax evading fundamentalist" won't cut it. :iconteheplz:

"The President doesn't get your trash collected or your streets paved."

This is decptively profound. Municipal codes, budgets, etc. are all things most people take for granted. They all just assume that firfighters and paramedics will be there. They just assume that on tuesday their trash will be taken. Most people probably dont even realize what the ballot initiatives and their effect on local ordinaces will be. How many people really know who is on their city council, or what their voting on this week? Everyone just wants a peice of the big pie and dont realize that in your HOA, your town, your county is where things start. If you dont take local politics seriously, how can you expect people at the state or national level to take you seriously? They say that sometimes we cant see the forest through the tees, well in this case its just the opposite.

Obama. The GOP's stance with women scares me.

obamas gonna win mass no matter what so my vote is meaningless as usual living in a perennial blue state under the american system where regular people like me have no voice in government, so ill probably stay home, or vote for jill stein for the shits.

Go vote for Stein. The more votes a third party gets, the more relevance it gets and the more relevance it gets, the closer we are to ditching this deplorable two party system.

Horrible idea. Voting for a third party essentially means diving the vote and ensuring that the win goes to the other party.

Then by that logic, Jesse Ventura was never elected as governor of Minnesota.

That's really not true to say that "Third Parties/Independents can't win."

We're talking about presidential elections.

Still, it's possible for an independent or a third party to win.

To quote Jesse Ventura: "It's easy, stop voting for Democrats and Republicans. Vote for somebody else."

The only reason why people don't vote somebody else is because we're fed this mentality of "vote wasting."

"Vote wasting" is an oxymoron.

No, it doesn't work because of our FPTP system. I explained it in another comment down, in the end it's still going to be a race between two parties and people will not become properly represented.

Vote for a third party, the party you oppose ends up wining. Someone with an ounce of logic will not risk that in the next election.
