Well, looks like Romney handed over the election at this moronic attempt at a Hail Mary.
So, in an attempt to energize his base and force the media to shift focus from his refusal to release his tax returns, Romney brought Paul Ryan as his Vice President nominee in a massive gamble with the stakes heavily against him and is now taking on Ryan's baggage. So, other than their inevitable honeymoon period, I don't see this working out in the long term once Ryan's policies (such as his wildly unpopular budget) and betrayal of St. Ayn Rand to score some political points comes out in the open. It's as much of a "game-changer" as trading GTA IV for Custer's Revenge.
Well... He did energize his base. He also handed all senior citizen and all fiscal/social moderate votes to Obama, I think. They MIGHT be able to rebrand Ryan, but it won't be easy.
Yeah, I called up Willard and had him set this up as a special gift to a friend of mine that works in Ryan's DC office. I always wanted to have pull amongst the mid-range staffers in the White House.
And the republicans prove definitively they have learned nothing from the 2008 election why it's a stupid idea to push as far right as possible.
This election just gets dumber every day. Pretty soon they'll be using the LHC to find the particles that make up politicians' brains. Because they're sure not made of the same stuff the rest of ours' are.
