I've given up being shocked by the arrogance, stupidity and hypocrisy of the right wing media. I am kind of curious to see whether or not Latham had the balls to stand up to Mickelson and call him out on being an all around asshat, but I'm fairly certain it was something non-committal that he wouldn't be responsible for later.

In the business, they call this "Shock-Jocking." It gets people talking about them, which boosts their ratings and ad revenue by saying controversial stuff to get attention.

It's like trolling, but someone's actually making money off of it. Hell, I doubt even Limbaugh or Olbermann (when he was on air) believe half of what they say on air so long as they get the ratings.
