Considering the U.S was one of the central players in the creation of the U.N, to pull out would reflect badly in terms of our relations with other countries. It might not sound that bad, but I'm pretty sure the effects will be a lot worse than people realize.
I don't know about that. It would very much hurt the UN, and those nations that are within it may feel anger towards the US. But in reality they would still be highly dependent on the US for economic capital, military protection and various other geo-commerce, politics, and diplomacy. It would however negate the power and the authority of the UN tremendously, and me, personally, wouldn't find that to be such a bad thing. I've lost a lot of respect, and hope towards the UN. If those nations that remain in the UN wish for it to remain they will have to allow the other big powers in it take more control, or supply more of their resources into.
I doubt China would be that disheartened that we left the UN. I think they'd see it as a political boon for them...
That's the thing the anger would be bad. Having traveled outside the U.S the image of the United States is in a very low opinion from our politics to everything else. To pull out of the U.N would be one more thing for people to hate us. That will affect the US in its own way.
Also if you say we put a lot of resources to the U.N, having studying international relations I can tell you that we don't. In fact we are one of the lowest contributors out of all the major nations represented.
It depends where you travel that the opinion of the US is bad. From my experiences:
Traveling anywhere in East Europe, general opinion of the US is higher. Traveling in Paris, general opinion of the US lower. Traveling in countryside of France, general opinion of the US higher. Traveling in London, it was lower. Traveling in Israel, it was relatively higher. Traveling in Central America it was relatively higher.
From my experience in my travels, the poorer the nations are the more likely they will have a better opinion or appreciation for the US. The richer and more wealthier ones generally dislike us, and most of those tend to be in West Europe, which are fairly xenophobic people to begin with.
Pulling out of UN is going to only really piss of Western Europe, which will do absolutely nothing anyway. They are utterly reliant on our military protection, they are reliant on stable economic partner such as the US, and they are utterly reliant on our diplomatic sway over the rest of the world.
"Also if you say we put a lot of resources to the U.N, having studying international relations I can tell you that we don't. In fact we are one of the lowest contributors out of all the major nations represented."
I do not know where you study comes from but that's just outright wrong.
From Wikipedia: [link] the US contributes 22% of the UN budget. Followed by Japan, 12%. Followed by Germany 8.0%
From whitehouse.gov total contributions to the UN: [link]
That data is also backed up by the budget proposal for 2011 by Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton: [link]
What would happen? 1.) Dismantle the Federal reserve, though he'll more than likly go down the way JFK did. 2.) Nullify the Patriot act, the most recent NDAA, SICPA/PIPA/WhateverA, and postible reinstate the glass steagall act. 3.) Return the power to the states, ie. no more nationalisation of schools, heathcare, police, ect. 4.) With any luck find a way to make the news media Honest again, atleast more so than it its at the moment. 5.) Send the globalist bankers packing. 6.) Reduce the income tax, impose teriffs for imports, institue FAIR trade insted of free trade, and dosens of other reasons to bring jobs back to US. 7.) He will hear what the PEOPLE want, not what buisnesses want.
all in all, he will save the republic from tyrany.
You do not have an understanding of what that will do.
1) The Fed actually lowers and raises interest rates, which actually directly affect business investing. You don't have anyone or anything monitoring it, and all hell breaks loose. 2) I agree with getting rid of these. 3) The 50 states, cannot and will not run themselves. If they did that, every state would be regarded as an individual country, causing currency issues, legal issues, etc. 4) I agree with this. 5) I don't know enough about this to comment. 6) Removing the income tax, or lowering it would screw us all over. 7) I want this as much as you do, but unfortunately, businesses need a say in what goes on as well. It sucks, but it needs to happen.
So no, he will not save us, he will screw us all over. The only reason people want him in is for legal pot.
1) we made it fom 1776 to 1933 without the fed. and I beleave the crash at that time was engeneered. 2) thank you. 3) The constitution was writen so that the states CAN funtion on there own. as for leagal diffrences between the state, THAT is what uper government is for, that and foren relations. As for currency, What the hell is wrong with gold and silver, its worked out good for THOUSANDS of years. just harder to track than digital banking. 4) thank you again. 5) few do. Lots of foren banks have controlling intrest in our economy and our government. Look up NAFTA. 6) we have the highest income tax in the world. small buissnesses keep getting crushed by it. essensualy if your not a massive buissness already, you never will be. 7) I dont mind buisnesses haveing say, I just dont want them having the ONLY or the LAST say on things.
and I aggree, he wont save us, no one person can save a country. but he makes people actualy ask WTF about things around them and I can rally behind that cause. As for the legal pot. Kewl, im not a smoker but why waist tax money chasing after it. all where doing is lining pockets of the drug dealers making it illegal.
