Now, before I start I just want to let you know that I have no interest at all in lolicon, but with the recent rectification to the law, closing a loophole which allowed for people to keep child pornography if it was not real, ie 3D rendering or drawn artwork. What I want to know is where lolicon would come in, as though the characters are not photorealistic, they still are intended to be children, and the sexual situations which they are depicted in can be rather extreme. The other thing is where the border between lolicon and anime characters of a lawful age exists. As the style is intendedly vague, how can you definately prove what art is lawful and what isn't?

It is at the law enforcer's discretion as to whether material they find constitutes a breach of the law. So yes, it could be construed as illegal material.
The entire law is fucking dumb. Why not make possessing cartoons of anything illegal an offence? For the readers of the usual suspects: you're twats and you make the world a shitty place.

hmm, currently it seems as though there is no law against it, but it looks like their will be one soon which basically sets the possession of lolicon/shotacon to a three year sentence with unlimited fine. At least that's what it says on Wikipedia.
