"I will never let a white boy beat me" The double standard test

Here we go again, this time the boxing world has shown it's amazing double standards of what it calls "free speech" by allowing a black person to racially slur a white person at a boxing press event.

"I will never let a white boy beat me"

This was the offending line by Bernard Hopkins that went unpunished. If Calzaghe would have said "This black boy will never beat me" he probably would have had his boxing licence revoked and had a big fine. Feel free to disagree if you like, we all know that's what would have happened.

Needless to say that the motor mouthed Hopkins went on to lose the bout.

The fact that it was on NBC should show there is no double standard.

I think it'll probably go unpunished because most white people don't give a crap about what he said. Now, if a white person said the equivalent about a black guy black people would totally get pissed off. Right or wrong, you decide. Social pressure causes shit to happen. If you're unhappy about this situation, wage a campaign to get his license revoked. Personally, I don't really give a crap. They guy lost the bout, that's embarrassing enough for him, especially since a white boy beat him.

Would he? I'm sure you can find an episode in which a boxer has said such a thing and has had his licence revoked.

Like GlassArrowz said, it's been on the fuckin' news.

Unless you can show me one, your comment is pretty pointless.

Well, considering we supposedly live in an "equal" society now, I'd say it was wrong to let it slide.

No, YOURS is because YOU'RE the one MAKING THE FUCKIN' CLAIM.

You can't say, "If a white boxer did this this would happen" and then just EXPECT people to FUCKIN' BELIEVE YOU just because you fuckin' SAID it.
