Weird as a genre

What do you think about 'weird' as a genre?
Weird fiction.
Weird films.
Weird music.

I think its my genre.

Still seeking out strange independent animations for 'festival of animated oddities'.

If you know any film makers with weird animations then let me know.

Also can anyone think of any cool strange cartoons?

Have a pretty solid line up for tonights festival.
But going to put on a regular show so want MOAR!!!!

The show will be held at 8:30 PM tonight (Friday) EST

Meanwhile this thread is a discussion of strange animations and cartoons.

Please read the Forum Posting Guidelines before posting as this does not encourage serious philosophical discussion and should be in your journal. :)

FAQ #801: Are there any rules for the Forums?

This should be in the Pokemon section.
You knocked off my poor philosophical waxing off for this crap?

No, it's not a fucking genre, this isn't the right forum, so why don't you do us all a favor by never showing your face in the forums again. Or better yet, killing yourself.

"Weird" doesn't really mean anything. There are people who think that the movie "Napoleon Dynamite" is "weird." It's too vague a word to mean anything, much less be a genre.

They call it "absurdism". But I'm not sure this is the right forum for this anyway?
As far as I can tell, a "weird" film is either:

1. An original idea, or

2. Totally incomprehensible.

Nothing's as weird as me.
That's not a genre.
