Hold your fire, soldier! You have here before you a Deist!
In a nutshell, I believe in God, but:
I don't think he cares what we do with ourselves or others. In fact, I think people assuming they know what God would want is a bajillion shades of arrogant.
I don't follow the Bible to the letter, because I realize that the version we have access to today is a corruption of a corruption of a corruption of a corruption [...] of the Hebrew Tanakh. And each individual corruption was written for the express purpose of "reinterpreting" a few rules to fit the concurrent ruler's agenda. That said, the Bible is still chock full of great morals, and the fundamentalist atheists really should stop accentuating the book's negatives (of which there are plenty) whilst ignoring the positives (also of which there are plenty).
Atheist - but I don't think disbelief should be labelled. There's no name for people who don't believe in unicorns, or for those that don't believe 2Pac is still alive. There are just some things in life that you believe, and others you don't. Ah well.
ooh and i forgot to mention that i love unicorns, spaceships, science, magic, glitter, glowing stuff, electronica, being nice to people, and people who are nice to me and each other. i think that sums up my religion...
Strange how atheism has become more like a trend *looking at hipsters* than anything else.
I am christian orthodox, but I am not, as most people here, religious, but spiritually attuned. I believe in the Seeking of God and the relationship someone can have with him and the soothing feeling it gives back, but I do not worship crosses, saints or paintings, just because it's the norm.
Difference in "moral" sexuality would be a major problem for people to keep a religion, because of their clashing beliefs: "I'm a man, I love another man, but my religion says that's a sin... Disurgeons Disurgeons." <<< example I get where you're coming from. I hope you won't have too much of a hard time.

Oh, I'm sure I'll be fine in the long run. I'm bi personally, but I think I would have eventually fallen off the Christianity wagon later on even if I wasn't. It's just not my thing, though I'm fine with people who do believe.
It's basically typical Christianity, replacing the man-made Christian holidays with the God-ordained Jewish ones. Reasons being, the Jewish holidays have more symbolism and meaning within them than the Christian ones, and many Christian holidays were simply pagan holidays that the Catholic church stuck a Jesus sticker on and called it good.
That's probably the most obvious aspect of my belief system. Maybe a little more emphasis on the Old Testament, but I'd say that's about it.
I dont see anything wrong with suicide, christfags or religifags argue that "z0MG UR GUNNA GO TO H3LLL!!" Haha well from what I've heard you don't have to pay bills in hell or deal with all that other jazz. lol
I was baptized Mormon, but I've been a Neo-Pegen since before I knew what religion was. when I told my mom she said that she had always known that I would be. now she celebrates holidays with my husband and I and has more or less decided that she's a Pegen too. I have this feeling that it was my dad who was actually the Christian because he is still deeply religious, and forces my younger sister of 8 years to go to church even though she has expressed that she is uncomfortable with it. He and my mom have been separated for 7 years now.
