That covers a wide gamut of stuff. I've never encountered spirits or ghosts and tend to be agnostic on the subject of the paranormal, but I've had mystical experiences and do not tend to immediately dismiss such experiences as simply neurological disturbances. I do think these things can be explained psychologically, which doesn't negate their spiritual value IMO. I study tarot and have done some reading into alchemy, Hermeticism, and various thinkers like Krishnamurti, Blake, Gurdjieff, and so forth. I've touched a little bit on Crowley, but far less so than some people I know. I am "Luciferian" insofar as I read the Christian figure of Lucifer as more of a Promethean figure.
You are probably referring to the doctrines of the Church of Satan. It's an egotheistic religion that emphasizes the importance of the human animal, claiming that the possibly existing, more subtle aspects are unimportant. Satan in this form of satanism is understood as the God and as the particular Ego, who provides for the carnal side of man.
Though not completely wrong, this is a very earth-bound and narrow-minded approach that is harmless at best.
Depends, if you're considering LaVeyan Satanism it is more about self-empowerment, but for theistic Satanism it is about the actual Satanic deity and daily worship. There are others, such as Luciferianism that consider Lucifer the bearer of light and knowledge and follow that path.
Because it's considered taboo, and a really good conversation starter amongst certain people and forums. I enjoy learning new things, especially the occult. I am very much interested in people residing in the London area with views on this.
I'm into traditional philosophy, including various forms of religious mysticism, so I have some insight; I also attended a lecture on Spiritual aberrations and sorcery yesterday, so I'm trying to understand your approach to see where I should begin approaching the subject of the occult for you.
What do you wish to accomplish with this knowledge? What do you ultimately seek in this life? Don't be shy about your answer, this isn't a test. If you wish, you can reply via Note too.
I thought everyone who wasn't a teenager knew that? Only people over fifty think the average person identifying it actually sits around next to a cut up goat trying to plan what the evilest thing they could do at any given moment is.
I will Also, this forum's chock-full of trolls. Just stay away from the aggressive skeptics(there's no way of convincing them of anything) and you can trip the Christians up with their own bible. I've made a hobby of it.
Oh I have a third-eye for trolls and Christians, but thanks for the heads-up! I find the preachers in my local town with their megaphones and little stepladder quite a hobby to confront, especially when they come at me in groups and hold hands chanting "The power of Christ compels you". That was fun, then one of them asked me to go to his church and speak about my Luciferian beliefs to his "flock". If only I didn't lose the address.. would of been quite an amusing video.
Not necessarily, but I am interested in people's opinions on this subject when I speak to them. We are still in an era where people are quite frightened, trouble is that it amuses me and I love probing deeper into why the general public has an affinity to step away. I'm more on the lines of trying to convert them, or even meet in the middle for mutual respect. Yes I do talk to people about this subject for a reaction, but that isn't my main prerogative, I prefer educating (Respectfully).
