Tomorrow, 1st December is World AIDS Day.
Many people, especially those from first world countries, never think of those suffering from HIV/AIDS. Just for one day, make sure you do.

Please consider taking a moment to spread the word. Perhaps make a DeviantART journal, status on Facebook, Twitter or Google+, etc.

I always hated these "awareness" things, mostly because it takes something that's serious and seems to confine it down to a single day or month.

Awareness of these things should be a constant. As well, those who try to raise awareness should be a lot more efficient about it. In the case of cancer, disease, etc., informing people how to help or donate or whatever is a lot more useful than the usual "hey, this thing exists, just thought I'd let you know".

Why do you say that it is spam?
Last I checked, raising awareness and getting people to think about an important cause was not considered to be spam.
