Well I am a pagan and I wonder if there are pagans in this community. Wiccans, to be specific.
Thank you :D

We've got quite a few witches in here. How many of us are also Wiccan I can't tell you, but I don't think there are very many Wiccans in here.

Thankfully :stare: Or my last P&R thread would have been spammed by fluffers.

We would have had to get giant lint rollers for all the fluff that would have been on everything. :ohnoes:

Just look at people's profile pictures, and see which ones are the most massively obese.

I want to make one of those graphs with the circles.

Massively obese girls I've seen at my school:
Self professed wiccans I've seen at my school:

Except it would be the same circle. The irony here is that's not even an exaggeration. The three fattest girls at my old school all said they were wiccans.

:stare: The only Wiccans I know are badly overweight. To boost, they almost never know what the hell they're talking about.

The experimental data matches with the theory. I should publish it in a peer reviewed journal. :P

I'm not Wiccan. I'm a Discordian kitchen witch.

I could never really get into Wicca, like lots of people it was the first thing I had access to- but this was over 20 years ago, and there was ONE book I could get my hands on. Anyway, it just doesn't speak to me much. I know the basics, if somebody really needed an overview I could give it to them, but that's about as far as I go that way.

One thing that has always puzzled me that you might be able to shed some light on: many of the Wiccans I've come in contact with through the years don't do any sort of magic aside from your basic worship rituals. Is it just general misunderstanding of what they think the Wiccan Rede is (I know there are way to many who think it's just the law of three/seven/etc) or is there something else?

I mean, personally, I learned by jumping in there and getting dirty. And dealing with the consequences.

Possibly, if you adhere to Clarke's Third Law ('Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.')
