Don't be scared. IF it happens, we're just going to make it worse with our paranoia. The idea is to reduce the damage by thinking positively.

if the world is "doomed" (noon Mayan calendar by the way) then what can "we" do about it? just live life and enjoy it until you can no more. worry about the things "you" can do something about and you'll enjoy life that much more, I promise.

Big flocks of birds? That's really not that unusual, I don't know about where you live but here the sky is black with them when they're migrating. We also get hundreds of vultures passing overhead at times. Birds move in large numbers. Really nothing to worry about.

There's nothing we can do. We're screwed. But seriously, just because the prediction of the World's End is quite near, that doesn't mean you have to live your life in fear man. Just stay cool, have fun, drink coffee (u like coffee?), and keep doing whatever you wanna do.

And it's been around for as long as starlings, so no, probably not the end of the world :P

I dont see why everybody worries about the end of the world. Its not like you can do anything to stop it, hence the name "end of the world" and plus, it would just be a migration or feeding frenzy that the birds are doing.

Your end of the world will be when you wake up and find that your whole life was just a simulation in a science lab and that you are nothing but a brain in a glass jar with scads of wires hooked up to you.

I predict that next week on Tuesday, half of the pacific ocean will dry out and we'll all die. It'll happen, just watch.

Oh, but if it doesn't, move the date to the third Thursday of the second month of the tenth year.

Great big flocks of birds aren't uncommon at all. There was a huge one that would fly over part of my old hometown on their spring migration, it must have taken about a week for them all to pass by.

People have been predicting the end of the world since forever. People were saying the world was going to end 12 years ago. I saw people in the store stocking up on water and other things in December 1999. I bet they felt like idiots when nothing happened.
