Those who believe in Yhwh paint him as benevolent and absolute, ie, the worst mary sue of all time. But luckily there are Gods and Goddesses out there that are crazy, badass, batshit insane or pretty fucking cool.

I LOLed when I read that, because I am of the same opinion. In the eyes of Christians, God can do no wrong. Even when it's painfully obvious that he's fucked up somewhere, it okay; he is God. I mean, he kills over two million people in the Bible (and that's not counting the great flood or the tenth plague of Egypt) and everyone's fine with it. On the other hand, Satan only kills, like, ten people! In the whole damn thing! And he's supposed to be the embodiment of evil?

Being biased towards the adversary is pretty normal, character wise there is a lot more to work with. Never heard of Baset until now. Good thing I started this thread with the intention of pooling knowledge.
