As the title says. We know very well that psychics are not genuine. They prey one people who are vulnerable and can make large amounts of money by claiming to be able to provide a service that in reality they can't. This is a form of fraud yet they get away with it. So why does the government not enforce the law in this case? Should a persons personal beliefs override application of the law?
I used to have a "permanent" red mark on my forehead from beating it against a wall. Not anymore after realizing all that I have control over is my thoughts and the three feet around me. I am frustrated a lot less these days....most of the time anyway.
If people are gullible enough to purchase the services of a psychic, the government has no right to intervene in the transaction. People should be able to invest their money in any way they choose, as long as the purchase doesn't negatively influence individuals other than themselves.
If someone is gullible enough to buy some broken electronics from someone, the law enforcement should not step in and remedy the situation? The whole point of fraud is tricking the customer.
Every psychic in business that I've seen has, in writing, the statement "For Entertainment Purposes Only". As such, they can't be charged with fraud just because someone didn't bother to read the sign...
What do you know? What I know is based off observations and my understanding of the world. It is also based off the fact that every psychic that has had any sort of proper testing done on them has been shown to be false. A 100% fail rate is pretty poor.
