Everyone's opinion is welcome in this debate, so no one bashing each other. (sorry dA admins if i am posting this in the wrong section! >.<)

I have had my share of bad and serious health problems, and this thought always go through my mind randomly. I am not usually afraid of anything except those creepy little spiders (sorry to those who like them), but what I am scared most of is death. I am scared that the dying process is very painful and who are dead you are still "alive". Even though you are not breathing or not moving, i feel like you can still hear everything but can not see or move or speak, but also can still feel contact. I know its a very silly thought but im scared thats how being dead is like. Which is kinda silly because i like drawing death but im so afraid of it...

Anyone wants to share their believes or ideas on how dying feels and how death is?

if you are religious i would like to hear your opinion and if you are not i would still like to hear it :)

Remember how you "felt" before you where born?
Try it now.

That is how it will "feel" when you are dead.

Take a hammer to some poor creature's brain. Now imagine that creature before said delicate operation. The lack of whatever was there before, that isn't there now, is death.

Nah, I just go with stress related. It correlates with exam times and usually hallucinations reflect on whatever horror movie I watched awhile ago.

I tend to think that ' Death ' is just a word to describe ' After Life '. I think you just live again, in an other dimension. You have your own world, and there is a place where you can met everyone. Then you die again, live again... an eternal circle! But if you want to protect someone, you can go again one time on Earth in an animal. Animal are our angel :)

And if you did something wrong, there is no ' Hell '. You just go back to earth to learn how to be excused :)

Well, unfortunately, I've never been dead, so my experiences on it I can share with you are limited. As are that of everyone else in this thread.

What you described was what I felt when I fainted once. Fell over, desk toppled on me, felt and heard the whole thing while unconscious. I was only aware of the information from my senses. Despite not being able to think, I was still aware of touch and sound. My mind was blank, then I started dreaming before I woke up. But that's not death. When you're dead, you don't feel those things at all. You're non-existent, just like what you felt before you were born.

Being dead is no problem. What is understandably scary is the process of dying, and the myriad ways it can happen.

oh wow! glad you are ok.

I fear dying itself and what happens afterwards.
it feels like the time you were in diappers and not speaking never even existed. like you just started living suddenly like as if you just woke up from a dream
