Internet Loss...

MelTheMemeQueen's avatar
So I come back from my housesitting assignment and the neighbour I share the internet with I has completely switched it off. I always have my TV on with YouTube pumping through my headphones as I relax. I now cannot do that. I am used to having it on. I feel devastated and upset. I feel stressed, and I don't know why. I have had internet for months. She turned it off without telling me she was going to. I do have misophonia and shitty neighbours. I don't really feel like eating, despite feeling hungry. Internet will be expensive for me to get. How do I deal with how I am feeling? I know how I feel is stupid. I just want to feel better soon.

Oh dear lord!!
I can not stand when people are so self absorbed.:(
She should have communicated that she wanted to do that!
Would there be another way to get internet without her at all?
I know how that can be, this will come to pass soon.

She should have just been upfront with me. We could have worked something out.
I am thinking of TPG.

Yeah exactly! :disbelief:
You had a deal, she needs to communicate if she wan'ts out.
Do it! TPG is a little bit tricky at first. But so worth it!! :D :iconrainbowhugplz:

I tried to speak to her today and she was rude.
Is that who you are with?

She should learn to get a grip :disbelief:.
I was with them when I was at my grandmothers.
They're cheap, and the net was always well connected.  :iconrainbowhugplz:
It's just the initial setting up that's a little difficult and tricky.
But they do have an assistance line =) and great deals available.

She should. I am so glad I did not send her money while I was away.

Ooh. That sounds absolutely perfect. That's what I wanted to hear. If I sign up for 24 months, I get a free modem and the initial charge is cheaper.
I was gonna go with Dodo, but from what they were saying to me, maybe not.

Urgh yeah she doesn't sound trust worthy anyway! :bleh:

I'm glad that it does =) you'll be so pleased with it I think! :iconrainbowhugplz:

Use someone else's internet (friend?) and download tracks to listen to. :)

Good idea. I have downloaded some nature sound apps. They have been making me feel a bit more mellow. :)

Good to hear. w00t!
Pay for your own net and stop acting as if you are entitled ot leach off someone's net. The neighbor didn't have to tell you that they were turning it off. They paid for it so they can turn it off if they want.

We both paid for it, bud. It was a 50/50 split.
Doesn't matter. If their name is on the contract and the router is in their house then you have no right to whine about it.

Its thier net. Not yours

The deal was we shared it. Her idea.

Oh well.

I wish I knew the magic words to help you feel better :(
All I can really say is try getting your own Internet provider.

I have looked into it, and it seems quite dear solo.
Just got to learn to live without it, I guess.

I saw that coming, tbh.
What's your cable provider and how much do you usually pay?
For us, we have Comcast and they put our cable and internet bill into one. Not sure how much it is, though.

Our company was Dodo, and it was $60 a month for unlimited data.
Nice, nice.
