I lost my best friend

died from cancer just last night. I was just informed. I just need some comforting...

It is always sad to lose a loved one. I don't know how you are feeling, everyone reacts differently. But I will leave a passage I found comforting when my grandmother died last year:

Never say of anything, “I lost it,” but say, “I gave it back.”

In this way, think of the fact that, we are all given anything we have for only a short time, and thus eventually we give them back. I'm terribly sorry for your loss, I can only hope things get better soon.
