As it says, a nerve in the back of my neck keeps getting trapped. It's not really painful but it keeps waking me up at night.

Anyone able to suggest stretches or something that could help?

IF IT WERE ME (that's a legal disclaimer) ... IF IT WERE ME I'd take some over the counter NSAID pain relievers (ibuprofen, naproxen) in the hopes it would reduce the pressure on the nerve.
But taking those things long-term really can mess with one's stomach.

Pain killers are great. Thank you for the advice.

To be honest, I'm probably going to have to see a specialist of some description. I'm mostly looking for something to tide me over in the meantime.

I'd advise trying a chiropractor, but they can be pricier than doctors. (Although if it would be covered by insurance of some type, I say go for it.)

Insurance isn't an issue.

Yayyy go call that chiropractor then!

Protip: Chiropractors are all crazy. Ignore their creepy chiropractor spiel, and just let them crack your back.

:icondrjudasplz::iconsaysplz: Another medical quandary for the illustrious good doctor.

A trapped nerve can be a real pain no matter what is trapping it. Most likely this is caused by the trapezoid muscle, whose sole purpose is in fact to trap things. I would recommend trying to keep your nerves away from the trapezoid, since it is very skilled at doing this. Another alternative would be to find your own Admiral Ackbar and keep him handy at all times, this way he can tell you whenever he senses a trap.

Ha, well done sir, well done.

Yeah, I know I'm probably going to have to see someone about this and I was more looking for something to do in the meantime.
