I get frequent headaches as well and I try to stay away from pills as much as possible. Here's some things that I try to get rid of them when I have really bad migraines...
I'm very light sensitive so I darken the room (blankets over windows, turn off all lights) I'll put on some relaxing classical/piano music (low volume because I'm sound sensitive too) Ask someone for a back rub as that relieves muscle tension Buy a hot pad or make your own (rice in a cloth bag/tied off sock and microwave for 1 min) and put it on base base of skull Drink a lot of water There's a pressure point on the bridge of your nose that if you press down hard for awhile (It will hurt) just might take the edge off the pain (my uncle used to do this to me and he's a EMT so I'm pretty sure it's not BS) otherwise the hand pressure point mentioned above and Google other pressure points too, I know a lot of them are in your feet Do periodic stretching (neck and back) Often however, I've found the only way to really get rid of them is to sleep it off...

Drink water, a Cold bath p'raps... Sleeping more, even. Try Meditating. Stress can spark headaches too.
Drink some tea (however you prefer it, just not Black, cos that's got caffeine), STOP DRINKING SODA. Nothing but WATER to drink, or unsweetened tea and NOTHING ELSE.
Try getting Acupressure, acupuncture, or even just some Yoga, too. These can all help.
and i have like NO painkillers and the shops are closed now.
i've had a nice long bath to relax me but it just won't go away.
i get them from time to time, and they're made worse when i stand up or move suddenly.
anyone got any tips to help ease it? or to get rid of it?
