If I had posted this in the wrong place, sorry don't bother bashing me because I had enough of being insulted thanks to Write Room where I think they can help me out (Writers right? Think they can help me with an essay? Heh heh heh, WRONG!) .
I have to write a brief essay that is 1-4 paragraphs long and I am even given a guideline. Basically the college wants me to tell them about high school and or life experiences, and how these factors help me prepare for college.
Here's my biggest trouble: for twelve years I had always written essays that were never about me so I have no idea where to begin. The college I want to go into is very important to my next step in life and I really want to get in.
It's only 4 paragraphs? First off, I think you need to relax. You got this. It almost couldn't be more easy.
You could talk about almost anything that helped you along the way.
Having structure in your life because of high school helped prepare you. Learning the fundamentals of math, science, english...whatever helped prepare you. If you ever did ANY activity at all it helped you prepare socially. Your (I'm sure excellent) study habits helped prepare you.
I'm sure you can get a paragraph out of that somewhere.
Better help than what everyone else was giving me. Such as the guy above your reply. I guess I just overreact and people find that stupid or funny, but I know I cannot just spit on a paper and tell them that's my essay like everyone else. Difficult to find anyone decent on this website.
Anyway, I will keep in mind of what you had told me. Thank you very much. ^w^
