I am getting all four wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday. How would you rate the pre-op anxiety?

I pretty much thought the same thing. Only when I woke up my vision was all blurry.

Yeah my vision may have been blurry too, but I was too distracted by my missing teeth to notice.

Yeah. All I could focus on was my dad tying my shoelaces together.

Sounds like a man who knows how to take advantage of a situation.

He thinks he's funny. My mom caught him. He pouted.

I would be happy to get rid of mine (except for the money I'd have to spend on them) my last one has tortured me for YEARS. Though the dentist says it's no big deal and that I should keep it, so I'll just have to live with wanting to rip my own jaw out ever third month or so.

I was under local anesthesia and fully awake during the procedure (which was only weeks ago). I was very nervous considering I only heard horror stories from people in my environment =P. But I had a regular procedure and it lasted about 15 minutes (with a 15 minute preparation). The surgeon kept communicating with me throughout the surgery and telling me what they were going to do next, and what to expect. She was super considerate, and that was a big help for me.

Afterwards you get a kind of cotton patch in your mouth that you have to bite down on for about half an hour, to make the blood in the wound clot, and stitches. It was mostly the post-op I was scared of, as I was afraid my jaw would hurt too much for me to be able to eat regularly. And it's true that you can't open your jaw completely right after the procedure, but that has more to do with the stitches "pulling" on your gums than anything else. I didn't feel any pain or real discomfort after the operation and the healing process went perfectly.
One caveat though is that I only had my teeth (well, tooth) removed on one side, so I could still chew on the other. So there's that, too.

I was more scared of the swelling then I was for the pain.
I had all four removed and it wasn't so bad, just stock up on a lot of ice packs :)

I was kinda nervous beforehand (6/7 out of 10), but they'd been driving me up the wall beforehand, so I was happy to finally get rid of them, and there was pretty much no post-op pain for me.

I woke up that morning and said to myself that there was no way I was going to let them drug me unconscious. I took the twelve injections and was wide awake when the oral surgeon said to his assistant, "Can you get me the big pliers?"

It wasn't that bad. They gave me some narcotic painkillers afterwards that messed with my head, but I never hurt enough to need them.

The anxiety was way worse than the actual procedure. It really was. You'll come through it just fine.
