Boyfriend and Internet

My boyfriend has an awful habit... he gets into a game and within a week is bored of it... For example, Minecraft, he got so into the game, that he would do nothing but eat, sleep and think blocks of data and creepers. But within a week he was bored and wanting something new.So he went to skyrim, and from skyrim back to minecraft, to diablo and so on and so forth.

He enjoys these games a lot, but downloads them off the internet. Which wouldn't be a problem if he didn't get bored so damn quickly... He downloaded several separate large games (at least 2 gigs each) in a week period, and I told him 'if we go over our cap, you are paying the overage...' He said it was fine, but when the bill finally came (a whopping $250) I ask him to pay the overage and he 'didn't have the money.'

I let it slide (and didn't pay off the $90 left over from that he had agreed to pay) but recently he has been getting more and more into ONLINE games.... He will play for example, the Star Trek game on Max Graphics for 5-6 hours at a time... Even though I've told him not to... When I ask him to stop playing them he becomes furious, logs off the computer and sulks in the bedroom for an hour or so...

I wouldn't have a problem with him playing these games if he contributed to paying the bill... I've upped our cap for the month (it will take effect in May) but I don't think that it will be enough... I've been debating severing the ability to use internet on his computer if it keeps up... What should i do :(

:icontealdeerplz: boyfriend online gaming fucking up the amount i pay on the bill each month and he isn't contributing to paying the bill.

thats the thing... Cutting it of, would pretty much sever any ties to anyone in either of our families because we live in separate cities...

Then I'm with pakaku - Set a password, and only give it to him when he starts to carry his weight. You won't be unfairly punished, but if he wants that connection back, he'll do his part. Otherwise, he can just buy a calling card and be done with it.

Please tell me he otherwise splits the bills fairly?

Three years and a baby isn't exactly the highlight of a mature young adult, especially when you toss it into this mix.

If it is not contributing to paying the bills, internet access could get shut off, until he contacts the ISP and pays the bill. If he can't pay online, he needs to send payments by phone.

We're still lucky that we still have internet access and we're only paying close to $100 for the month of March. :B

Frontier Internet Services...I've been using their service since November 2003 and has not changed ISPs ever since.
