It seems like every time I sleep, I wake up exactly at 3:30 am. Although for the next half hour, I am not fully awake. I see this large man standing infront of me. He's all shadow, even his eyes, and he says "I'm going to get you" over and over again. The next day, I see insects crawling all over me, choking me. During the day, I usually see these strage figures. Some shadowy and some seem like the snow you get on a broken TV. I've also noticed that I've had an unusually big amount of bad luck. If something good happens to me, something bad makes me crash. Things that are bad that happened to me: 1) My knee broke 2) I failed 3 tests 3) I was blamed for things I didn't do.
What should I do? Plus I don't want to go to a therapist, it scares me.
Yes it is. It's that kind of stupid misplaced compassion which is causing so many society's ills. Get a job, hippy!

I seriously recommend a daily Meditation routine immediately. You have no idea how much your mind has control over these things. If men in Burma can sit in the Himalayas in subzero temps. and not freeze to death, you can slow these visions. Sounds to me like your mind is full of imagery, and needs a huge breather asap.
I stand by meditation 100%, i've been doing it almost everyday since last year, once i figured out how to control my thought. The secret is to set up a schedule and STICK TO IT, even if you can only sit for 5mins a day, keep doing it! Eventually you will be able to see your thoughts in their true form, heighten the senses, control emotion and stand-down fear. i challenge you.
Some other suggestions if your too busy for meditation ( which is an excuse) :
1. Before bed indulge in a healthy snack and a little , you will never sleep better. Don't judge, this is tried and true, just be smart about it. 2. Hypnosis! Very similar to meditation, except you have the privilege of having someone walk you through it very calmly. I recommend ---> [link] ,to get the full experience without dishing out money, just subscribe to his podcast. On your stereo before bed put on his 'Best Sleep Ever' episode, it does wonders for me when im having trouble staying asleep throughout the night. 3. Watch what your shoving in your face! Certain foods can have an impact on your mind, especially in an unconscious state. In your sleep, when your body is exerting energy to digest, its exerting energy on your mind as well. Try to avoid eating spicy foods before bed, same with high sugar foods. More here ------> [link] 4. See a doctor about it if none of these suggestions help. You may have a chemical imbalance, that can be corrected with Psychoactive drugs and other various treatments. I would consider this your last resort. Why? because i truly believe you can conquer this, since its a mental issue we're discussing, and not a psychically debilitating one. You are the only one holding yourself back. That's not to say some matters can be out of our hands, NEVER hesitate to ask for help.
Also, regarding and . Don't fucking listen to them, that's terrible advice, and will only further the silly notion that there are no good people in this world that are willing to help you. Its painfully obvious they lack all signs of intelligence and backbones. I would pick on people on internet forums too if i were missing another 500,000 brain cells. I don't have a P.H.D either, im only 19, but i know how to help myself and research things that i want to learn about. Maybe they can grow some balls and start picking on people like myself, instead of wasting time on hidden forums no one will see.
To further my point, here are a couple choice quotes from our dense pals and :
"Favourite artist: Art sucks" - caketan
"Recently my girlfriend, Beth, started a blog about how women can survive in this economic downturn and still look, as she puts it "fabulous". I told her I would try to help promote her blog, because I think it's a great idea for a lot of girls who would otherwise abstain from keeping themselves pretty and sexy because of their financial woes, can still go out have a good time and look hawt. I support this because it also helps local businesses." - Poopgoblyn
When idiots like these waste your time, and plague your intelligence, you never have to look too far for a reason as to why they say the things they do. For example, a swift look into Poopgoblyn's DevInfo and DevID!
Take it from someone with common sense and people skills Zila-Zipper, your going to be fine.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
