lost, can anyone help? need advices

The truth, its something not a lot of us like to face. In fact most of us will do everything thing we can to hide from it, bend it, believe in anything else but the truth. But does that make it any less real?
If one of your best friends has been lied to, mislead, emotionally attacked, and treated like a commodity for a long time, do you do everything in your power to help that friend? Or do you sit by and watch? It’s not my problem, why should I help someone else I care about? Is it wrong to tell someone the truth? Or is it wrong to hide the truth from them? Some people don’t want to hear the truth. Others need to. If one of your best friends is being completely taken advantage of, do you try to tell them? Or walk away as if nothing is happening?
I can’t decide for other people. That’s up for them to choose. But should I help inform them? Or ignore everything going on around them? Am I a bad person for telling others what they need to hear even though they don’t want to hear it? Or am I a bad person for not saying anything at all?
Telling the truth can make enemies of friends. But saying nothing doesn’t make you a good friend at all.


I am truly at a loss right now, so anyone who reads this, please help me out with what I should do.

I guess you could think of it this way, if your friend was drowning would you throw them a rope? I don't see any real difference in that and what you describe. Sometimes good intentions are punished but not taking any action at all is worse. That's just my opinion.

For me, It depends for a friend, I'd probaly be striaght forward and say it. If it upsets that person, then you can lay off- you did all you can do. Like you said before its not your decision. But if it's an acquaintance, I dont bother >_>

I'm thinking that the best thing is to just tell them what they're getting into or telling them that they don't deserve to be treated the way they do and just learn from their own experiences.

sometimes it's best, sometimes it's not. It's a matter of circumstance and knowing when to tell them, how to tell them, and what TO tell them..
But of course sometimes it's always best to just keep your mouth shut and wait it out.. could be for the best.. and it also could be making things worse.

But if something doesn't go wrong.. you can't hold yourself responsible for it, nobody can see the future..

People don't learn the truth unless they want to; if they don't, they simply don't believe it. If you tell her, then she can be the judge of whether or not the knowledge is worth the pain.

I would be sincere to them, just like I am with you guys...I would also have hard concrete evidence depending on the situation because chances are that this person would not believe you otherwise. Also, you might have to figure out just how close you are to this person. But I would tell 'em.

Say what you feel/think to them. If they're really your friend they will take your opinion and either agree or agree to disagree. They might be pissy at you for a bit, but afterwards they'll realize why you said it.
