Christians, tidewater, military, East Coast southern, wealthy rednecks, Confederate romanticism, political neurosis, small towns, small town mentalities... I think there is some sort of unwritten rule that every coastal area right next to a hill country has to combine the worst of both worlds into just being the general home-pile of the shittiest excuses for humanity you could ever find.


I was, like, right on the border with West Virginia and the place was still too East-Virginia for me. It's pretty much Atlanta, but better paid, more fundamentalist, and even less intelligent.
