Hello!

My name is Donna and I have long been a member of deviantART.
5 years, in fact. Now is the time I want to meet fellow deviants!

Speaking as a UK deviant, I am writing to you to ask if you would be interested in attending a UK devMEET I plan this year.

I have pencilled in a date of Saturday 14th Jun 2008 at Manchester City Centre- Piccadilly Gardens

This will be a pretty informal devMEET and artists of all levels are very much welcome to attend. I am asking for people to prepare a portfolio to bring along with them, so they can show other dA members their work if they aren’t familiar with it already. You can chat to other members, discuss technique, look through each others’ work, or even bring some tools along to show other people, or current projects you are working on! I want this to be a lot of fun!

You can bring a packed lunch, or we can eat at the city centres’ Food Mall which is very big- enough to fit everyone if there are many that want to come along!

If you are interested, please please drop me a line by email, or send me a dA note and then I can get an idea figuratively, of how many of you would definitely be able to come.

If you want any more details on how to get from London to Manchester, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line. I know for a fact there is a Virgin train that takes 2 hours to get directly to Manchester from London’s Euston station. If you want to come up and stay over for the night, I also have a few hotel numbers I can give you.
