PIRATES: jolly boat people or the batards of teh sea

people tend to see pirates as a coool thing nowadays, like on this forum site ppl always go on about how cool they are as if they were some hilarious boat faring peoples who did funny cute things. well they didnt! they KILL PEOPLE i bet you wouldnt think they were funny if you lived around pirates! theyd steal your booty and rape you women! what is funny about that? where is the humor in that? do you think their swords tickle? no they make you BLEED and DIE. pirates are not a laughing matter, in fact they are the bastards of the sea. in a few hundred years will people thinkg terrorists are funny too?
in truth pirates are bastards. they steal, kill and commit other crimes-and enjoy it!!! why? coz theyre bastards!
expect replies to be ages coz im hungry and im going to get sum lunch.

Yeah, the killing, raping, and pillaging is kinda why people think they're cool. Haven't met any of the "happy boat people" nutjobbers personally.

The Nazis were bastards too, but that doesn't stop them being hilarious.

Look up Carribean pirates(known as buccaneers). :) They were originally Frenchmen driven off the land by Spaniards. They were actually democratic, as well as egalitarian and freed slaves from the ships they captured. While some were criminals others were privateers and pirated with the backing of the Crown. Sure, they killed people, I hold illusions about that, but so did many of the famous people in history.

:shrug: People enjoy the thought of outlaws and rebellions.

And actually, terrorists do get admired...just the ones that win, though...but those are usually put in the books as 'revolutionaries'.

Actually they prefered not to kill or sink ships if I remember correctly. They'd much rather take crew members aboard as prisoners or to help sail their own ship than kill them. That's why the jolly rodger is jolly: the pirates on board are going to take prisoners, not kill everyone... If I remember correctly.
