A new PC game is coming out in October called "Left Behind", based on a series of novels. It was created by a group of Christian wackos, and you'll see why:
It's a first person shooter. And what's the object of the game? Either convert someone to Christianity, and if you can't do that, KILL them. The game focuses on killing Jews, Muslims, Gays, Pagans, Buddhists, Satanists, Pro-Abortionists, ect...
And they're getting away with making this monstrosity?! You know, if this game was created by Muslims or any other religious group, the stupid American government would have a fit and start throwing the word "terrorists" around.
Great way to teach your kids to be tolerant, non-judgemental, and to love thy neighbor.
It sickens me to no end. This is going to brainwash a LOT of really stupid kids into thinking it's okay to harass and even kill those who are not Christian. (I don't believe videogames influence kids, really. But if they grow up in an insane household that supports that, well...)
As a Neopagan, I get enough of this crap already. The world really doesn't need this. I'm starting to worry about some of my classmates...I go to a school that's 95%, if not more, white radical christians. They harass the muslim girl enough as it is, and even the Jewish kids don't feel safe. A gay kid was sent to the hospital a while ago because some morons couldn't help but beat him. Why can they walk about with thier crosses and crucifix necklaces while the rest of us have to hide ours to avoid getting this treatment?
So much crap right now, I tell ya.
Your thoughts on all this? I want to hear from both sides, religious and not.
(And just for the record, I don't think all Christians are like this at all. My dad is a follower of that religion and he's very tolerant and kind.)
Can you site your reference? I can't imagine this is legal in the US considering hate crime legislation as it currently stands.
Link to source, if you please.

-- Cosira Making fun of the powerful is Bravery, because they can make you pay for what you say. This is why Satire is the weapon of the Clever Courageous. Making fun of someone weaker than you are, that is merely Cowardice.
Well I can find little to sya beyond completely agreeing with you, this kind of this is very worrying whether or not it may inspire people to do the same, as you point out it hardly sends out a message of tolerance in an already intolerant society.
The game also offers players the opportunity to switch sides and fight for the army of the AntiChrist, releasing cloven-hoofed demons who feast on conservative Christians and their panicked proselytes (who taste a lot like Christian).
Dude, I want.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
