To all those anti-emos: Everyone is an individual, even though some might look like one another or act like one another or listen to the same music as another person. I must admit, I have the hair over one eye thing going, I'm wearing black nail polish, I've worn black eye liner before, prefer to wear dark clothing, my username is The-Repressed, I write a lot of sad, dark, and twisted poetry, and *gasp* I'm bi. Does that make me EMO? In your minds it probably does. I'm sure if you saw me walking down the street you'd call me a faggot-ass emo. Well guess what I have in my room? Posters of The Doors, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin. I bet if you saw my room first you'd say, "This guy's a rocker."
Am I emo now? Look, everyone has been emo at some point. You can call people emo by their looks, but (and I've heard this saying too many times) it's what on the inside that counts. Each so-called "emo" is an individual in his or her own right, no matter what. It's generalizations like "emo" that causes arguments like these. I didn't want to bring another "emo" topic up, but I just felt a certain need to let this out.
BTW I am not going to reply to anyone in this topic.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
