but I am sick to damned death of seing this pop up from people on my watch list. (and forgive me if you read this, but maybe you should read it and get a clue.)
Let us review.
Artistic Nudity: reference works such as the Sistine Chapel cieling, the Venus de Milo, Michelangelo's david or other such well known works for an example of artistic nudity. These works often depict and focus on the shapes, curves and forms of the human body and use it to express or convey a feeling within the subject.
Artistic Erotica: Such works as these often depict intense focus on the subject's body- often posed seductively or with some suggestiveness.. However, it should be noted no actual "lewd" or "adult" acts are physically taking place. Subject may or may not be nude.
Hentai/Yuri/Yaoi: MORE OFTEN THAN NOT PORN, no matter the quality of the art!

What am I getting at?
WHY can these people not get it through their skulls that DeviantART is NOT A PLACE FOR PORN. It's in the rules that you agreed upon when you sign up! This is not a place for wank - if you wish to wank, please go to your porn payserver and pay your bill or buy your dirty doujinshi at a convention.
I am absolutely sick of seing people post outright porn in their galleries (and yes, I know to report it), thinking if they just BLUR the erect penis that's being forcefully shoved up some 13 year old anime boy's ass that they're following DeviantART's rules. NO. YOU ARE NOT. GET. A. CLUE
It does not matter if you put a black censor bar completely over the male genitals! If you can still tell that the two are stuffin' it like no tomorrow it is STILL PORN! It doesn't matter if you crop the bottem half of that picture out- if you can still tell exactly what's going on and if it looks like a sperm bank EXPLODED on your canvas then it is still PORN. It does not matter if it is drawn porn or real porn- it is PORN. ITS PORN!
Yet EVERY TIME these fans get their pictures removed they act like they are SHOCKED and cannot figure out why- afterall, DeviantART allows nudity, why isn't THEIR nudity allowed? Wait, I know! its because deviantART is full of a bunch of hypocritical homophobic conservative assholes! YEAH! THAT'S IT!
WRONG
It's because you're too thick skulled to understand what crosses the line between artistic nude, artistic erotica and flat out PORN.
THAT is why your pictures get deleted and why you get BANNED. Not because of DeviantART'S "evil hypocritical homophobes"..but because of YOU.

( Obligatory disclaimer: Yes, I dislike yaoi... but that's not why I used the yaoi fangirls as the biggest example.. its just that this happens the most with the yaoi artists on DA. Most other people seem to take a hint after their first policy violation. )
