Mommy the doctor did bad things to me!

Malpractice by HayleyComet

I took a Percocet at 9:40am

At 10:10am the doctor pulled
a 3 foot string of absorbent material
from inside my inner ear.
It was covered in blood, slime, and what I
assume to be parts of scabs.

Then he vacuumed the pools of gore inside my ear.

At that point I was given a minute to catch my breathe
before the doctor used forceps to put another
3 foot long string in my head hole.

The hot searing fire sensation of the strip coming out
was quickly beaten out by the volcanic fire and lightning stabbing
pains of the new strip going in.

He finished that off by holding my head with one
hand and pushing the material solidly into my ear with his finger.

Then I had a cotton patch put over the ear to absorb the blood.
Because there was blood. And more blood. Then blood. Blood.

As soon as I got home I took another Percocet
and slept for four hours. I get to take another
pill at 11pm and I will.

I go back next week to do it again.

This is what it feels like in words.
This is what it feels like....The doctor's visit

So the shoe lace of pain....it's all noodled in my head mainly.
Some of it is on the outside in the ear canal.
Part of the string has dried to the top of the canal. The blood
scabbed up.
Ever pull a stuck zipper lose?
That ripping grinding noise?
Yeah, that's kind of what it was like when the doctor
started to pull the stuck part but it was my flesh not a zipper
and I could hear it and feel it.
I know, awesome right!
But that wasn't even the worst part, it was just an hors-d'oeuvre.
Because after that he was pulling the rest of the strip
out of my head. That meant pulling any stuck parts inside
lose while also allowing cool fresh air to rush inside to flow
all over the raw meat within.
It was a searing hot painful oven in there. It was great.
The pain killer I took 20 or so minutes ago really didn't
take any edge off of that. I should have just eaten

Reason why:
Surgery BullshitSo I got unwrapped today and got all the details
from the doctor.
It wasn't good.
In fact it's pretty much the opposite of what I was expecting.
Real simple. In 2013 I had a tumor removed from my
inner ear. It wrecked my hearing.
Then I had a post op infection that lasted almost 3 full months.
After that I had to let the stuff heal and then a follow up
surgery was supposed to reconstruct as much of my hearing
as possible. That was delayed because my Dad passed away
and then my appendix exploded and had to be removed.
Yesterday when I was opened up the doctor found a new
tumor and the planned reconstruction got turned into a demolition.
That's why surgery was an hour longer then expected and
probably why I was in so much pain in recovery.
Originally surgery was supposed to be 3 to 4 hours but
ended up being right around 5. Plus an hour+ in recovery.
It was pretty bad so they gave me something, I dunno what, that
was really strong and had me still feeling the effects a good
seven hours l

That sounds both nasty and painful. I hope I never have to experience that. Alas, I have no pictures of food to post.

I had this asshole nurse murder my arm with an IV stick. When your first attempt at sticking the IV doesn't work, why bother taking it out and trying again when you can break the vein instead? Because THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE!!! And if your patient is crying from the pain, why bother paying attention when you can laugh it off and then SCOLD HER for twitching while you're torturing her?! And to finish it off, slapping the patch down onto an already sore arm is so mature IT HURTS.
She was having a bad day and my arm pissed her off...

I've had that happen a lot unfortunately.
Last time was March 24th

Nurse stuck that needle in my hand meat like 5 times.
She's telling me I have tough veins, I was ready to tell her
she should retire.

In February for a scan I had to have a line put in above the elbow.
A specialist had to come in to do it. Thankfully she did it good
because I was not in the mood for being stabbed in an area that
would hurt for the rest of the day.

I fell down the stairs lately, it was painful enough. But when I realized that my glasses are still intact I felt happy.
I wonder, is it really normal?
