I don't even. I DON'T EVEN.... Yeah faking death for sympathy is unfortunately normal, but someone PLEASE explain to me how calling them out is cyber bullying?? REALLY? I'll try to sum it up.
Person A: I haz cancer and got like six days to live. See ya'll all later All of their watchers: WHYY? *cries their eyes out* Person A: *assuming that wasn't the response they expected, bounces* Person B: Here, evidence she's full of shit: //link here A bunch of people: HOW DARE SHE THAT'S F***** UP THAT ONE GUY: You guys know this is bullying, right? She made one mistake, she's learned her lesson now and you just keep on hounding her. This is terrible of you.
Like seriously, I expect that reaction for other dumb shit(saw it a lot out of a repeated scam artist. ), but she faked her death by cancer and it's just a simple mistake?! This is like when people pull this card for rapists or killers. Is being upset now cyberbullying? Is there a massive criteria for it and even matching one symptom of cyberbullying means it's full blown?

I didn't keep up with that shit after boogie tried to get another hashtag going instead. I think it was #BekindToOthers or s/t to replace it. Adorable, but not going to work lol
Yeah, no, sorry, but someone who does that DESERVES to be called out on it, or "bullied", because it's not okay.
Millions of people suffer for YEARS with cancer, in pure hellish agony, and then die painfully, and this bitch decided it was light-hearted enough for her to fake it. This makes me severely angry.
I've had people I love die due to cancer, and others suffer but survive. My own grandmother on my mother's side committed suicide because she couldn't take it anymore. She had multiple cancers for many years.
The government basically purposely allows things like chemo, and purposely lets cancer-causing food and chemicals into our society. They outlaw weed knowing it does a lot of good. They lie, saying they don't have cures, when they secretly do.
They purposely want people to get sick, suffer, and die, while paying millions of dollars to do so. They just want their pocket change, they don't care for other human beings.
Yeah, I hear wild theories about the government like how they may have the cure for cancer but won't give it. Who knows, I am not into politics or anything. Yeah I don't have the right to whine about who is president next or right now or whatever hurr. I heard medical weed can be helpful and stuff. I wouldn't know personally but I heard it's great for pain. So I agree with ya. It's all about money these days -_- I hate people sometimes XD; You also hear stories about how badly people with even mental problems are treated? Oh, got depression? You're crazy, got a psych ward. D:

I wish people wouldn't white knight for the sake of white knighting. there's a kid in the thread that thinks if we just ignore them they won't do it again/that's the best way to handle it.
I just found out about this little fiasco like... three days ago I guess, and I'm dumbfounded how many people would actually believe her story in the first place. It's definitely not the first fake death I've seen, and this one was very poorly conceived and planned to begin with. People never leaaarrrnnnnnn
People that fake there deaths, illness and abuses for attention are disgusting human-beings. I'm not afraid to call a bitch out when they pull this shit. Why the fuck would someone even white-knight a bitch, ugh.
Realtalk though, I fucking despise people who fake serious illness as a get-out-of-shit-free card. I've lost more than a few people to cancer and other nasty shit, some of them even the same age as me. It's painful to know that the person you lost could still be with you right now if they didn't lose the random-mutation coin flip or contract normally preventable infections at the worst possible time. So it makes my fucking blood boil when little cunts fake it.

People defending it is what gets my blood boiling. I'm so fucking tired of all these assholes who run around intentionally hurting people like this, using mental health/physical health as a crutch and they never get theirs. ever. They get to run around doing it some more without ever being bastardized because some dumbasses MUST go with the unpopular opinion.

See, you're too young to understand this, or you have yet to lose someone to cancer. Once that happens you won't just excuse someone faking their death for attention, especially via cancer because that's literally the worst tool to use for manipulation, morally wise.
Not saying it wasn't wrong and actually I lost my gramma to lung cancer. What Im saying is that calling them out is giving them what they want, right? Ignore them and they'll stop.

Ignoring a behavior never fixes it, it only causes them to try harder until they get what they want. They weren't getting enough attention, so they went to this extent, because no one stopped them to tell them attention seeking on such a level isn't healthy. Just ignoring a child when they scream in a store doesn't discipline them, it makes them scream louder.
But if you give into what they want, they will repeat it over and over again... that's not better. And they'll try again to do better and get a bigger reaction. A kid screams for attention; if they realize you won't give in, they'll stop.

No, it'll just tell them what's not working, and they'll do something worse. If I didn't get the attention I was wanting at 14, I just pulled other stunts until I got it. I've seen a good hundred of other cases where if you stop giving them the attention they want they'll only pull something else. You haven't been online enough to see this for yourself, but flat out ignoring attention seeking almost never solves it. If they're pulling stunts like faking their own death they're already beyond ''''just ignoring'''''' as discipline.
So here we have an example of those who are fucked up enough to take such extreme measures either for attention, or to get out of obligations...as well as those who exist only to defend the indefensible. I'll never understand it myself. I mean, I get the fact that once someone is called out for something like this ( and they certainly should be )...that you should just say your peace and let it be...no need to continually harass them as it won't change what they've done or make it any more "known".
But I don't get the people who instantly stand up for these people and don't hold them accountable for what they have done. They don't allow them to feel the true repercussion of what they have done, so they most likely won't learn from it. I don't know how faking cancer could ever be explained away as a " simple mistake ". Nothing simple about it, and no...it's NOT normal. Most people don't do this. It seems common to have excuse these days for reprehensible behavior and nobody is held responsible for what they do anymore, no matter how screwed up it is. These people who try to justify such actions on the liar's behalf create more of the problems, in my opinion. They fertilize the ground for new lies to be sown and cultivated. They make people feel comfortable with creating such lies and scams, after all...no real consequences because hey, someone will have their back.
I have not yet seen it happen on this site, but I have seen it enough times on art trading and swapping websites. These groups are where people usually swap a lot of physical items through the mail, so trust is key. Unfortunately, it comes with a lot of scammers and faking death to get out of swaps owed is not unheard of. As well, I've seen people fake cancer and start up gofunds to get free money, only for people to find out later it was all a lie. I have no compassion for people who are con artists. I've been through a lot of shit in my life and never once considered scamming someone because of it, so I don't care to hear sobbing back stories as an excuse for this bullshit. It's always a choice to do something like that, regardless of where you came from or what you have been through. Choose the action, choose the consequence.
